The RFX MP-128 MIDIBUDDY is a MIDI foot controller, primarily useful in live performance applications, designed to send MIDI program change and song pointer information on any of the 16 MIDI channels.The MIDIBUDDY also features MIDI sharing (MIDI thruput) and may operate via MIDI phantom power, eliminating the need for an external power adapter.
This MIDIBUDDY attribute is based on the little-known fact that 12VDC MIDI phantom power is supplied by MIDI receivers on the unused pins 1 and 3 of a standard MID cable, and transmitters receive that power on the same pins.
