I will admit that I am a big fan of Schoeps generally speaking and I am using many of their microphones on a daily basis. This accessory is just great to use. I assume (without having done any scientific tests) that due to the relative firmness of the elastic bands the shock absorption might not be as effective as with larger and more elastically mounted alternatives, but the ease of use, durability and visual discreetness make it my favorite for this application. The best feature in my opinion is the cable clamp that allows for securing up to two microphone cables on the clip to avoid adjusting the angle by accident when for example raising the stand which can always lead to pulling on the cable slightly. This mechanism prevents this from putting any strain on the connector as well.

This shockmount is easy to use. Just attach shockmount to stereo bar or mic stand, then place mic in the shockmount. It successfully cuts down low frequencies. Unlike some other shockmounts, itonly holds the mic in one place, not two, so it is better for small, low-weight mics.
