Worth every penny.

Ensures correct exposure for both sky and ground so details are not lost. Photoshop CANNOT recover blown details in the sky.

Not as well built as Lee but for the price, I'm not complaining!

Great neutral density filter kit for the money. It's easy to create great landscapes in the field with this kit, and it saves time in post production. Like all things it takes practice but once you get the hang of it you'll produce some great pictures. Don't forget you'll need the adapter ring for your lens.

This kit is really a great value. I use the filters usually in combination with a polarizer. The holder is easy to use. I have the 72mm and 77mm adapter rings. They work great. The case for the kit is pretty big, so I just carry the individual filter cases. They can get dusty in their pouch so I am looking for something else to keep them in. I like that these are resin since I take photos while hiking. The glass ones were doomed to break.

This is a great way to get started using ND filters which are especially useful for the landscape photographer. Please note you must buy the adapter ring to fit your lens. The adapters seem overly expensive but you have to pay the price to play with these "larger" filters.

The Z-Pro GND system has saved me so much time in post-production by completely removing the need to layer-mask in the sky/background etc. The only difficulty is lining up where the faded/black glass starts with the horizon. Also, make sure you're not "shading" someone's head! Overall easy system to use & gives great results!

I bought this kit for my wide angle lenses. In contrast to manufacturer's claim, I clearly see vignetting effect with my full frame lens and full frame body at 24mm, NOT 20mm as stated in the specs. I even modified the holder according to one of reviewers here: reverse the screws and only put one slot in the front, I still see vignetting effect!
The material used is plastic: decent quarlity. But it is Cokin not B+W or Lee, you get what you paid for: it is not as refined or polished. Three knobs serve to hold adpator ring are poor designed and crafted.
Each filter comes with its own pocket which is very nice, since I wear them down rather quickly.
But the filter walet is HUGE! It is way too bigger for 4x6" filters. It is also very thick, in fact, it has 8-10 slots and you can probably place 10 or more filters in it. I can not image that I carry it and hike to shooting destination, since I most shoot landscape, for which these filters were designed.

This kit is fairly complete (minus the adapter rings). I can't imagine needing more than the three ND filters the give you. The only thing is that for the price, I feel that it leaves a bit to be desired. You can't actually use 3 filters at the same time because of the pin placements. I haven't tried to rework the system yet to see if I can get three to play nice.

The kit is well built though, and the holders and adapters are of good quality metal/plastic. Looks like the screws are brass, which is a nice touch.

Overall I would recommend this to someone who is looking to get into filter work with the added flexibility of larger gels, instead of limiting yourself to standard filter stacking. Much more creative control over this type of setup.

just got this kit and really like it. the holder for the filters is sturdy and easy to use with the adapter rings. the pouch to hold the filters and filter holder is greater. I thought the size of the filters was going to be ackward but they are perfect. the ability to slide the filter up and down to match the graduation location with your photo composition is handy.

I use the filter holder to hold 4x6 filters from Lee and Singh Ray mostly. I gave the Cokin filters to my wife and she loves them.

Build quality of filter holder is great, and filters have opened my eyes to landscape photography! The bag that comes with the kit is also good quality, but too bulky for me to use. I was very excited to test these filters individually and combined, I was pleasantly surprised of results. I have read reviews that have criticized these filters as "not true ND filters" and Lee are much better. I haven't noticed any color casts with my tests (very early days) and haven't bought any Lee filters yet to compare.
If you use the holder as it comes with a 17mm lens you'll see the holder in edge of your photos, esp if you rotate it. To prevent this: unscrew the 4 screws and move the front third slots to the rear of holder and reverse the screws to extend to the rear of the holder. The P series has the same problem - the only way to fix this is to actually cut off the front protruding slot, the third slots are generally not needed anyway.

Works very well, nice having one size filter for all lenses. The retention pins for the adapter ring are a little hard to push, but I suspect they'll loosen up over time.

I got the Z-Pro GND filters and they work just great. They are exactly what I was looking for to use with my wide angle lens. They work perfect with lens of below 20mm focal length.

However, it comes at a price. Soon, I realized that I need other filters too, e.g., polarizer and blue-yellow filters, etc. These can be very expensive, particularly if you want to go with glass ones.

I started off with Z-series Graduated Neutral Density Filter Kit by Cokin because I wanted to use the filters with my wide angle lens (Nikon 12-24mm). Very soon, I realized that I need more filters than just the GND, e.g., blue-yellow filter (173) that is very expensive and way beyond my budget if I want a Z-series. Apparently, P-series is the solution for the budget I have. I also bought the thin filter holder to use with my wide angle lens. I have 3 lenses of the same diameter so I bought 3 filter holders (including one for my wide angle lens) and 3 ring adapters so that I don't have to put them on or off every time I change my lens; in other words, I was expecting that I could leave the filter holders all the time on my lenses.

I love the design, i.e., it's easy to install and take out although it has solid construction. I like the fact that you can actually use more than one filter at a time at ease. Still I'm missing the use of wide angle lens as either of the filter holders (regular P series or thin holder) start vignetting at a little less than 20mm on my DX DSLR body. In addition, the design of the polarizer and blue-yellow filter does not really allow you to use easily with a GND because when you use the polarizer and blue-yellow filter, particularly the latter one, you actually have to turn the whole filter holder and it makes it impossible to use GND. You can turn the polarizer but not the blue-yellow one; even with the polarizer, you will need both hands to turn it unless you have your camera body on a tripod.

Regarding the filter holders and adapter rings, it turned out that leaving the filter holders on the lenses all the time may not be practical because it make the lenses significantly longer and no longer fit my bag. If you have larger bag, it would work. However, having the adapter rings on the lenses all the time is a huge advantage. The lens cap could still hold well and you don't have to put it on and off every time you use filters. It does not prevent you from using the lens hood; but this is true with only certain lens diameters. E.g., all of my lenses are of 77mm and I can still leave the adapter rings on and use the lens hood. I believe that if you have smaller diameter, you are likely to have to take off the adapter ring and the idea of having adapter ring for each of your lenses and leaving them there all the time just may not work.

RECOMMENDATION: WHEN YOU BUY THIS, LOOK AT ALL THE FILTERS YOU MIGHT USE IN THE FUTURE because once you are stick with a system, it would be expensive for you to switch to another.

All in all, I think that this system has good design and is worth the money.
