Hoya Clear Filters (colorless) are for color as well as black and white films. Also serves as a permanent lens protector. Will not affect the color balance or performance of your lenses in the slightest Under constant use, Clear filters will protect your valued lenses from expensive front element damage which could be caused by dirt, knocks or scratches
