8x SuperDrive

Sudden Motion Sensor
The iBook comes with Sudden Motion Sensor technology. This is built-in protection for the hard disk that is designed to help prevent disk damage if the computer is abruptly dropped or sustains severe vibrations. The Sudden Motion Sensor instantly parks the hard drive heads to help reduce the risk of damage to the hard drive on impact. When the Sudden Motion Sensor senses that the iBook position is stable, it unlocks the hard drive heads, and you are up and running in mere seconds.
Optional Protection
Apple provides 90 days of free phone support and a one-year limited warranty. You may choose to add an AppleCare Protection Plan to this package, which will extend your coverage for three full years, giving you peace of mind and ensuring that your system will run optimally for its effective life cycle.
