    NTG-1 Condenser Shotgun Microphone

    Mfr# NTG-1 | B&H# RONTG1

The Rode NTG-1 Condenser Shotgun Microphone is designed for professional audio capturing in the field or indoors. With a history of manufacturing quality studio microphones, Rode has implemented low noise output electronics and wide bandwidth, both of which attribute to the NTG-1's broadcast sound quality.

The supercardioid polar pattern and line plus gradient acoustic principle effectively minimize audio and noise at the off-axis (sides) of the microphone, while the front of the capsule accurately reproduces incoming audio signal. The result is greater intelligibility and signal-to-noise ratio while using the NTG-1 in noisy environments.

The NTG-1 is powered with an external +48 Volt phantom power source, the output is a standard 3-pin XLR male connector.

The microphone features a rugged, all metal, light weight enclosure that is ideal for camera mounting yet durable enough to withstand the rigors of heavy road use. The Rode NTG-1 is packaged with a microphone stand mount and windscreen.

    • Super-Cardioid Polar Pattern
The super-cardioid polar pattern and line gradient acoustic principle allow for a narrow pick up pattern at the front of the capsule while minimizing noise at the off-axis sections.
    • Lightweight Durable Construction
The NTG-1 features a lightweight metal housing that is ideal for camera mounting.
    • Low Handling Noise
Low noise output electronics provide high signal-to-noise ratio. The NTG-1 is designed to also reduce noise caused by handling, rigid mounting hardware, loose cabling etc.

    Audio-Technica

XLR Male to XLR Angled Female Balanced Cable - 1.5'

    Mfr# ASP00127 | B&H# AUAT83141.5R

Audio-Technica is a leading manufacturer of audio cables, and their 3-Pin XLR Male to 3-Pin XLR Angled Female Balanced Cable is a professional, premium-grade microphone cable perfect for all types of applications. The 2-conductor, shielded, broadcast-type cable can also be used to extend the length of an existing XLR connection.

    • Balanced XLR Connectors (M/F)
At each end, XLR connectors either have three pins (M) or sockets (F) within a locking metal shell. They are commonly used in professional audio applications to connect microphones, mixers, recording equipment and other gear.
On typical XLR components, pin 1 is the + signal line, pin 2 is the - signal line and pin 3 is the ground/shield. This pin combination facilitates top-quality, low-noise, balanced audio, even across long-distance cable runs.
    • Phantom Power
XLR cables are also capable of carrying DC "phantom power" to microphones on both the plus and minus signal lines. Shotgun and lavaliere microphones typically use phantom power or must use on-board batteries.
    • Shielded Ground
The 3rd pin is connected to a copper-wound shield. Wrapped around the other two wires, this shield provides both an interference-blocking barrier and a grounded connection.
