The Rycote Softie Lyre Mount and Camera Clamp Adapter (0.7 to 0.9" Diameter) is designed for both boom-pole and camera mounting. The CCA replaces the Boom Adapter and features a smooth cylindrical shape for securing to camcorder microphone clamps. There is 3/8" threading provided at the base for boom-pole mounting. The rubber Softie Mount absorbs shock and features a medium hole that accommodates microphones with a diameter between 0.7 and 0.9" (19 and 24mm).
I have a Canon C300 Mk II with the included Canon mic clamp but the Camera Clamp Adapter is too big for it (the CCA is about 25mm and my adapter takes up to a 20mm). I wish the manufacturer and/or B&H had included the diameter of the CCA. If I can't somehow adapt it, I'll need to return it. Frustrating! Other than that, the build seems strong.
I bought this because I wanted something I could use on a boompole and on my camera. I haven't tried this on my boompole yet, but on the camera it worked very well. I especially like that there is a notch cut out of the part that clips into the camera's mount to leave room for the hinge. The only issue I had is on my camera (DVC30) I had to remove the rubber inserts on the microphone mount to get the Lyre mount in there, but the camera's mount was basically useless anyway. I use this with a softie windjammer but it looks like it would work with a blimp system as well. Very versatile
