This little monitor protection for the D200 is very necessary, so that your monitor doesn't get scratched. But it is fragile. If you don't take care, it will brake.
So you need to have a couple of spare parts.
It also gets scratched in not too much time, so you´d better have a new one, or your pictures will not look very sharp when you review them.
But it is not expensive, compared to other monitor covers you find around.

This is a great way to protect the expensive camera monitor screen. This is a replacement, the previous one broke from a careless handling on my part of the camera during a hike. Were it not for the cover I would have damaged or scratched the monitor screen.

I was gonna buy some generic plastic film for my d200's LCD but found out that nikon was still making covers for that camera. The best thing was that it cost the same amount. So, why only four star? Nothings perfect. Even though it cost the same as the generic plastic film it's still over priced, but it gets the job done.

I had previously bought an after-market LCD cover for the D200 only to have the fastener break within 2 weeks. I should have gone to B&H first and ordered the actual Nikon BM-6. I stays on--and doesn't break! Incidentally, the B&H price for the Nikon BM-6 is only slightly more than I paid for the no-name brand. Lesson learned!
