The Pentax Hot Shoe Adapter F features a hot shoe connection on the top and bottom, plus a 5P (5 pin) cable connection on its side.
- Use it to attach to the hot shoe of Pentax SLR cameras to provide extension of the TTL flash capabilities when used with either the #37347 F5P or #37349 F5PL Extension Cords and the #31046 Off-Camera Shoe Adapter F (which is equipped with a 1/4"-20 threaded tripod hole)
- With this shoe adapter it is still possible to mount a flash on-camera, and to add another flash off-camera, both with TTL operation

I have an older Pentax AF400FTZ flash that I wanted to put on a remote flash bracket and this is one of two items I needed to make it work. And now it works, perfectly. I'd gotten a cheapy shoe and cord online, didn't hold up at all. This product is made well and performs perfectly.

This Pentax hot shoe adapter, along with a Pentax F5P extension cord, allows me to use my flash for off-camera lighting effects. As you would expect from Pentax, the build quality is very good - always reliable mechanically. Compact in size and the fit in the shoe is snug. This is a nice accessory.

If you own a Pentax DSLR and want off-camera flash capability, then this is a must have. I use it with flash brackets as well as hand holding it or tripod mounted strobe. One nice touch is that it still gives a flash shoe mount on top.
