From Behringer, the XENYX series audio mixers are designed to provide real-world features and pristine audio fidelity while remaining cost effective and practical.
The XENYX 1222FX is a compact 12-channel audio mixer with a 24-bit effects processor. The mixer features 6 microphone inputs and 12 line level inputs (including Aux inputs). Channels 5/6, 7/8, 9/10 and 11/12 are stereo paired for use with keyboards, player/recorders and other stereo devices.
A 7-band graphic EQ provides final signal contouring and feedback control. The internal effects processor features 100 user selectable "real-world" presets that include, reverb, chorus and delay effects. The compact 1222FX is well suited for project recording, home video editing, small PA systems and more.

Great mixer, the equalizer adds a lot to the overall sound quality. We're using this mixer with a four piece band, three guitars, percussion. The sound is great, no distortion, effects are easy and plenty. It's very light and overall does the job.

Mixer went out gradually. I take baby care of all my equipment. One side was a little louder than the other at first. Then the phones jack quit working and I thought I could get by without it. Hey but what can you do. I took it 3 or 4 shows. Then I tried to do a little recording at home a Dead Dead Dead. R channel and 3,4, and 5/6. All my other equipment works fine. DOA
It's A Do Not Buy Unit.

I'm a recording musician, but I bought this mixer fro video projects ie: live recordings-
Not only was the mixer extremely versatile, it was very quiet with practically no noise.

I use the Xenyx 1222FX-12 for our community theater and it performs even better than I thought it would, especially for the price! I've been in broadcasting off and on for almost 25 years and this will be my choice for a mixing board when I set up my own home studio!

This mixer has everything to offer for someone who has a midsize band or setup. I use it with my band which has a guitarist/vocalist, bassist, pianist and drummer, and we are able to put everything together through this mixer. We use it for recording our practices and making home recordings which we release. We also use it for our gigs. The preamps and phantom power are excellent and after a read of the manual I had a complete grip on how it works. Great product if 12 inputs is the right amount. One of the best parts is the USB capability, where I can easily record straight to Audacity or any audio recording program. Behringer includes a copy of their program, but I have not yet tried using it.
