I use this with soft boxes from small to medium with speed lights. It only works with rectangular soft boxes, not octagonal ones. It isn't quite as sturdy as the equivalent Chimera, but is less expensive.

this is a plastic speedring. I use it with the Q39 softbox and canon speedlites. price was nice, and it works just fine - but I wish it were metal.

The description is a little odd - this does work with a medium soft box. It's functional and solid, I haven't had any problems with it.

This product works just as expected. I was initially disappointed when I realized it didn't come with the soft-box, however once I received this piece it was all that I expected it to be. It's a little difficult to get all 4 rods of the soft-box into, that's why I give it 4 stars. Other than that great all around product.

I used this speed ring for an off camera speed light set-up. There was a bit of fabricating on my end, but the cost of this speed ring made it worth the extra effort required.
I bought a 1/4" aluminum rod, drilled a 3/16" hole through it and attached a hot shoe mount to the rod. Add speed light to rod assembly and insert this into the umbrella mount and your good to go.

Awesome speedring and the best part is that it fits almost any speedlight! Very well built and is secure and strong for mounting any sized softbox. It would be a bonus if this were made out of a metal material as opposed to a hard plastic, just to add to the durability.

This product is perfect for outfitting your softbox to your hotshoe flash. It does exactly what it says it does and even though it's made of plastic it is sturdy and I have no concerns about its durability. Thanks B+H!

I use this for my small softboxes and some time larger, due its plastic and seems the weight its a risk factor to brake the speedring i will recomend you to use only with small softboxes and medium softboxes (with no light accesories such light grids), this product do the job as expected

Doesn't get any simpler than this. Pop your softbox in place and use the attachment points to mount it however you need it.
