Comments about Canon LA-DC58G Lens Adapter:

I just dont understand why Canon made this item in plastic. Would have bought a metal one but i heard there are some distortion issues and i thought canon name would be better. I wish bh had the lens in stock, I heard it's a pretty nifty item to own. I use this adapter with the wide angle, lens is also nice but wish it was a bit wider and there is no macro. Still love my G9.best camera i ever had.

Comments about Canon LA-DC58G Lens Adapter:

This is a simple piece of plastic that easily clicks into place on the camera and has a screw thread on the other side. So you can attach various filters, teleconverters, or wide angle lenses. I used it with an A710IS.

The color doesn't match my camera, but I guess it fits several different cameras, some of which might have been available in different colors. But if your camera is black, it will match.

When attached to the camera, it is ever so slightly loose. That hasn't caused a problem for me at all, but it feels like it could have been a little tighter.

leave this adapter on the camera without the

converter lens attached and it acts as a lens hood!

however it will vinette how do you spell that?

Comments about Canon LA-DC58G Lens Adapter:

It's nice to be able to use a polarizer with this camera, and also functions as a sunshade.

              Minor Cons:
Fits a little loose, when compared to the one I have for my G3.
(very minor) If it's made for the A720, it should be the same color

              LA-DC58G on a Canon A700

              By Myiris

              from New Mexico

Comments about Canon LA-DC58G Lens Adapter:

This is a simple plastic tube. It allows the mounting ofauxiliary lenses to the body of the Canon A700 or similarmodels. The existing camera lens extends into it while it ismounted. There are additional uses for this accessory whichare not mentioned by Canon or by retailers. When theunit is attached without any lenses it functions as a shadehood. Additionally, it will accommodate 58mm filters andlens caps. Granted, it will look pretty dorky mounted onyour camera by itself without an auxiliary lens, but if youwish to explore filter use and find shade hoods useful, thisis a must have accessory.
