The Sunpak MagMount Ballhead with HG & LF Adapter Plates is a magnetic quick-release ball head for use with cameras or other optical equipment. It provides for the instant attachment of almost any camera, spotting scope, or other device that is mounted via the industry standard 1/4"-20 threaded mounting system.
The item comes supplied with two plates so that all camera and optical devices are ready for instant attachment to the MagMount. The extra light LF (silver) for use with lighter weight digital cameras, and heavy force HG (black) for use with heavier cameras, binoculars, or spotting scopes. It supports up to 9 lb (4 kg), depending on center of gravity.
Originally developed for use on the TrekPod, but can be used with any tripod that features a standard 1/4"-20 screw.
For heavier devices, or to facilitate moving or carrying your monopod or tripod with a device attached, you can secure a device to the MagMount with the integrated Safety Clip, which docks in the base of the MagMount when not in use.
