The best Quantum Turbo battery is the original one. It may weigh twice as much as the new model, near two pounds rather than just one pound. And it is a bit larger, but it never runs out of juice. We have two of the original Turbos, a Turbo Z (obsolete) and a Turbo SC. The Turbo Z and SC can't make an entire wedding without running dry. The original Turbo can perform for two weddings without out a recharge. And the replacement battery is reasonable and can be replaced by many local battery repair shops. Last thing, the battery costs a bit less than the Turbo SC.

Comments about Quantum Instruments Turbo Battery with 120 / 240VAC Charger:
I drive this pretty hard with my QFlash in bounce and Qttl for wedding photography. It is ready quickly and works well. It is heavy, bulky and while it lasts longer than it's smaller counterpart, the Turbo SC, I have read reviews that say this can last for more than one wedding. I don't get those kind of results. I can shoot most of a wedding, then I have to switch to another battery source for the end of the night.

Comments about Quantum Instruments Turbo Battery with 120 / 240VAC Charger:
First purchased this battery seven years ago, and have just bought another. It stands up to heavy use very well; with my first battery just now beginning to weaken. Keep it charged as directed, and it should provide excellent service for years. I like hooking it to a belt rather than using the shoulder strap.

Comments about Quantum Instruments Turbo Battery with 120 / 240VAC Charger:
Great battery -- has lots of juice for tons of flashes. Would like that it not use AA's in addition to power cord but seems to work well. It is a Quantum and I have had great success with their products.

Comments about Quantum Instruments Turbo Battery with 120 / 240VAC Charger:
I shoot cars for a living, so more or less everything is done at full power. So far, the Turbos have yet to let me down, even after a full day's shoot.
They're small enough to fit in my Pelicase alongside my Metz 45s, which makes the whole package small and light enough to get on a plane without too many dramas - ideal for the travelling snapper who needs plenty of grunt and longevity from their flashes.
All in all, a great, affordable solution. Would recommend to anyone.

Comments about Quantum Instruments Turbo Battery with 120 / 240VAC Charger:
I use the Turbo for my work as a daily newspaper photographer. This is actually the second one I've owned -- the first being one I owned in the late 1980s. Thus, I was surprised how little the product had changed.
So, long story short: pros are the amazingly fast recycle time and number of flashes per charge.
The cons are that this sucker is heavy, and that it adds one more cable that you have to work around.
Still, it's a really excellent option for powering a Canon 580EX on a stand with an umbrella to make a nice portrait with little fuss. I heartily recommend it for any working photojournalist.

Comments about Quantum Instruments Turbo Battery with 120 / 240VAC Charger:
I like the battery but it took a phone call to the company to explain how to use it. The instructions are not great. I am still not 100% how the battery works but it has been helpful at my jobs. I use a Canon 580EX11 flash. Someday i will get a Turbo flash! I also did not know that it did not come with a strap. It takes about 6 weeks to get this so I have another strap I am using.

Comments about Quantum Instruments Turbo Battery with 120 / 240VAC Charger:
This product is a must if you're a wedding photographer or photographer who needs a lot of battery power. Even though pricey, it will pay for itself in the end. It's great never having to worry about battery life or slow recycle times when I'm shooting a wedding or event. The battery is heavy, which threw me off at first, but I just clip it on to my photo belt and you forget it's there.

I shoot weddings and portraits. Tested it with my old Sunpack 120 J and it perfomed flawless. I should have bought this a long time ago. My second Quantum model, the best one so far.I bought adapter for the Canon Flashes also. I will use more the Sunpack one with the softbox which give me beautiful lightning. If you are considering, get it. I took about 400 shots and it was still going

Comments about Quantum Instruments Turbo Battery with 120 / 240VAC Charger:
I already had the same battery as well as the Turbo SC to power 2 Qflash T5d-R units. These have been great, but for extremely long events I have found myself needing an extra charge, so I purchased the additional Turbo as a backup when one is on a re-charge. In combination with the Qflash units these are perfect for weddings, receptions and location shooting.

I use this for shooting weddings.
I find that the recycle time is very good compared on just relying on your batteries in the flash themselves. I am planning on saving a lot of money on AA's.
The only down fall is that it is a bit heavy.

Comments about Quantum Instruments Turbo Battery with 120 / 240VAC Charger:
I ordered this battery pack because I had 4 weddings back to back in the month of June and didn't want to work with AA batteries in my external camera flash unit. My QB1+ ( for my VIVITAR 285) would not work with my SONY HVL-F58AM dedicated flash.
I like this unit because it is fast and very versatile. I can use it with CANON or NIKON just by getting the flash accessory for the different flash units.
This unit is good for anyone that shoot weddings or events because you dont have to worry about recycle time or not having the power for full output.

Comments about Quantum Instruments Turbo Battery with 120 / 240VAC Charger:
The Turbo powers my Canon and Sunpak flashes. I have tried many batterty packs in the past however, the Turbo is by far the best. It is fast and provides hundreds of flashes on one charge. I shot a group function and came out with 450 pics....the Turbo showed it still had half its juice left on the meter. Great product at a great price. [...]
