Comments about Matrox MXO External HD and SD Video Output for Mac:
The MXO was very easy to install and worked just as advertised. The only draw back comes in switching between FCP7 and Color. You must disable the external view in one app and then enable it in the next and vise versa. That gets a little annoying. However, other than that, it is awesome to have HD-SDI out of my laptop for color correcting.

Comments about Matrox MXO External HD and SD Video Output for Mac:
Quite versatile product, I was happy to find out that I could output to both a broadcast monitor (SDI) and my second Apple display (DVI) at the same time.
Easy to set up and with a very decent utility to fine tune the colors of your monitor.
Only thing I don't like, the unit tends to get quite hot.

Comments about Matrox MXO External HD and SD Video Output for Mac:
Purchased MXO to output Keynote files via HD-SDI w/ genlock during a live broadcast, the quality is outstanding. I now use it in an edit suite, it can be a little tricky w/FCP at first, but once you understand the control panel, it's simple.

Comments about Matrox MXO External HD and SD Video Output for Mac:
After speaking to folks at Matrox [...] itappeared the MXO would work with my MAC.I learned yesterday that my video cardGEFORCE 7800GT is not a supported card for MXO.(This is surprising as an inferior card is?)So, I've not had a chance to use the MXO and share this so others with older Macs don't make sameerror.

Comments about Matrox MXO External HD and SD Video Output for Mac:
The MXO is a great (and relatively inexpensive) tool for HD monitoring. I've been using it with FCP to connect to a 23" Apple Cinema Display. Results are terrific.
The MXO's only drawback (and this is minor) is when using it with FCP, the command+tab function used to jump between applications is disabled. Its only disabled while FCP is the active window, though.

Comments about Matrox MXO External HD and SD Video Output for Mac:
We love this unit! We used to use $2400 dollar Extrons for displaying videos and CG in our digital broadcast system. These looked better and at less than half the price...it was a no brainer! Flexible out puts with genlock. Killer tool to have in any video setup!
