So far this diffusion system is awesome! It really spreads out the light and fills in a lot of places that would be stuck in shadows. It is really nice for portraits and dispersing unwanted shadows, without having separate lights.

I am primarily a wedding photographer and prior to discovering the lightsphere - nothing worked as well (in such a compact size) to disperse the flash while on camera. Bouncing simply puts shadows under the eyes. With this, the lighting is perfect. My only complaint is that it doesn't stay on either of my flashes real well, but it's nothing some double stick velcro couldn't fix.

I have used the lightspehere for a couple of photochoots and I am very pleased witht he results. The unwanted shadows are gone and the color of my subjects are much improved.
One negative about the product is that it likes to fall off the 580EX flash. I fixed this with tape but really would like a better solution.

I like this product, it really diffuses the light well! It's made for the flash I have, but I found it pretty hard to get on there the first time. The more I use it, the easier it is to attach to my flash though, so I'm not disappointed!

The lightsphere is easy to use—couldn't be easier. Although its bulkier than a diffuser cap, it's absolutely worth it because it floods the room with a wonderfully "natural" light.

I've used for portraits and group shots. Nicely reduces contrast and harsh highlights.
Flexible but don't try to fold in your camera bag.
Stays on flash nicely

Once again Gary Fong represents.. This is a must have for anyone with a 580ex. This diffuser is top of the line and so are the shots you get with it. Alot of different uses and easy to put on and take off. I thought it was going to be too bulky but I was wrong. Perfect companion to my flash.

I bought this as an alternative to a bracket and off camera flash cord. This does work...sort of. If you can bounce the flash, you don't need this. There are less expensive products that work almost exactly the same. The Lightsphere does help reduce the unattractive shadow cast by flash that is not diffused, but bounce takes care of that once you get used to doing it. It is expensive!! Yes, this is relative, but you can get comparable results with just a clip on diffuser.

Does a great job at evenly lighting the area. Some photographers will tilt it at a 45 degree angle but I've noted that this will significantly brightly your photos which may cause them to be overexposed, depending on the subject's distance. I usually just leave it straight up or pointed at the subject if I am further away. It comes with a DVD that does a good job explaining how to use it in differing situations. It is certainly overpriced but I'm glad I bought it because the results are very good. I went with the cloud over the clear because I wanted to use it with the amberdome. The cloud will produce softer light. Cheers!

As an event photographer (weddings, bar & bat mitzvahs) I need well-exposed shots. This allows me to do that in less than ideal situations without harsh shadows. While it looks like a small fruit bowl on your flash it does the job. I am very happy with this product.

I like the softness in portrait photos. Bright light is not flattering and this really helps.

I bought this for use on my Canon 580 EX II in conjunction with my Canon 40D. It does the job nicely.

I purchased the C2 Lightsphere to go on my Canon Speedlite 580EXII, it is a great diffuser and makes people look great! I wouldn't shoot a low light, low ceiling, indoor event without it now.

It makes for a good conversation starter too, people are curious!

The construction quality of the Lightsphere is a little week. It made out of some sort of vinyl. It has a bunch of lines bumps in the material. It looks like when they poured the mold they did something wrong. It does work very well. I would still recommend it despite the lack of quality.

I use this product for portrait photography. I like the way it gives me nice soft lighting without having to use my studio lights. Great deal for the money. I'm very pleased with the lightsphere, it's a great product.
