The Majestic 6253S Quick Lift Tripod Legs with 1-7/8" Center Post is a shorter Series 6500 tripod (formerly known as International 5000 Series) that features a 2-section leg design, a professional 1-7/8" post connection, and the Quick Lift geared center column.
The Model 6500 series is designed to handle most professional cameras from large view to 35mm, including today's digital equipment. Each double braced leg remains firmly planted as the camera is effortlessly raised and lowered on a very positive column rack & pinion drive system to assure precise positioning.
The Quick Lift ratchet drive provide 2" of vertical motion for each turn of the gear driven crank.
Traditional manufacturing techniques and hand assembly are employed, utilizing steel, aluminum tubing and precision machined alloy casting.
All fasteners are removable with standard hand tools and, where appropriate, lock washers are used where vibration and long wear might loosen a part. All locking screws work against tension, ensuring that they will not release inadvertently.
Adjustable leg stops assure quick and repeatable setups.
