I use this to mount my Zoom H4 digital recorder to a regular mic stand. It works great. It can even mount a camera to a mic stand, should you want to use that configuration instead of a tripod.

Comments about Edirol / Roland OP-R09M - Microphone Stand Adapter for R-09:
We bought several of these to mount small LED projectors on mic stands. Love the low profile, 3/8 or 5/8" bushing option, the total--even 90 degree tilt--ball head adjustability. Only problem was that it was a bit hard to get enough grip or torque on the collar to really tighten the collar down and ensure a stable angle--there's certainly a limit to the weight or leverage this unit can hold. But it was perfect for my purposes and I'd recommend it to anyone.

We bought several of these to mount small LED video projectors on mic stands. Love the low profile, 3/8 or 5/8 bushing option, total ball-head adjustability, and simple design. Only drawback was that it was a bit difficult to get enough grip or leverage to really torque the collar down to ensure a foolproof, stable angle.
