I bought this tripod for my cannon hf s10 (fairly small, 1.1 lb.) video camera with hopes of achieving out of the ordinary angles. I was worried about the support, but it holds this camera just fine.

The only bad thing is the lock can only be turned 180 degrees once the camera is mounted. As long as you leave the lock just loose enough to move the head you can tighten it with half a turn to secure the position. I imagine this would get tougher with a heavier camera.

For the money this was a great investment. Would not trust for any camera over 1.5 lb. 2 lb. is pushing it; however, that is just an estimate.

This mini tripod folds flat enough to go in the mesh pocket on me minimalist belt case.This is my second one,which I got after having one for 8 or 10 years.the peg which limits the leg travel finally broke off..... due in part to my trend of owning bigger cameras.There is one other issue, it's a little awkward tilting because the clamp lever interferes with the camera body.

I use mine to hold my SB-800. it's all plastic, I'm not sure I'll trust a heavy DSLR to it, but as a flash stand for around [$] and the compact size, it's awesome.

This very small tripod measures 6" x 2" x 3/4" maximum. It is small enough to fit into a large camera bag or small camcorder bag but very light weight. It is very quick to set up and seems sturdy for a 20 oz. camera which I have. It only adjusts in one direction as there is no ball, just a screw hinge. Good for use with level surfaces but I have not tried otherwise. Other con is that there is not much room between the camera connecting screw head and body, making adjustment somewhat cumbersome. Still, it comes in handy if you don't need a full size tripod.
