Smith-Victor FL3 16" Reflector with Ceramic Socket and 3 Fluorescent FL26 Lamps (120V AC)
The Smith Victor FL3 16" Reflector with Ceramic Socket and 3 Fluorescent FL26 Lamps (120V AC) provides the equivalent light of a 350 watt tungsten fixture, without the heat. The included 5500° Kelvin 26 watt spiral fluorescent bulbs simply screw in to the 16" reflector flood light. They provide ~10,000 hours of use. Add a light stand of your choice with a standard 5/8" top.
- Umbrella mount provides the ability to tilt the light, and to use an umbrella for more softening of the light.
- The long-lasting ceramic socket has a spot/flood control.
- Flicker-free -- good for film, digital, or video use.

Not bright enough but can be easily fixed with different bulbs.
The floods black exterior scratches easily.
The adjustment handle is made of plastic so heads up on tightening it!

I have a few of these lights. They are reasonably portable due to their light weight, and they cast an even flood. The bulbs are very cool.
The clamp attaching the flood to the tripod is none too strong, and one clamp has broken. The others are holding up. Someone must have over torqued the nut.

I bought this specifically because it included an umbrella mount, however, I found that the umbrella can't be used with the CFl's placed as they were in the one I received. A design flaw that could be easily corrected by the manufacturer with a slight rotation of the sockets (something that cannot be done by the consumer). If you're not interested in the umbrella that wouldn't be a problem. It would also be nice if the sockets were placed in such a way that you could use higher wattage, larger, CFL's.

This is a great constant light unit. It gives a strong light that is balanced for daylight and it gives off very little heat. For those who use video or like to work with constant light with a DSLR, this unit is hard to beat.
