The Smith-Victor KSB-1000 2-Light 1,000 Watt Economy SoftBox Light Kit is an economical way to provide intense, soft, tungsten light. Use it for portraits or still-life setups. It includes 2- 500 watt flood light bulbs, and 2- Raven black aluminum light stands that rise to a maximum height of 8 feet, plus a wheeled soft case for storage and transport.
- The SBL-1 fixture has an insulated Tilt-Handle, ratchet locking system, and 5/8" Baby mount.
- Softbox fixture has a ceramic socket that accepts tungsten a flood light bulb, screw-in fluorescent bulb, or a screw-in slave flash.
- Elastic collar on rear of softbox helps prevent light leaks.

These are nice lights for the price, but if you are not familiar with putting these lights together, there are no instructions. So if this is your first time I suggest looking on youtube for videos of how to set them up, it was a big help seeing someone else do it. Also there is only one bulb per light so get a couple of extra bulbs because there is a chance the ones that come with the kit may break if you move the lights while they are on. Still a good product

This is my first set of lights and they have been everything I was wanting. I haven't gotten much use out of them but I've had no problems when I did use them.

I use these softboxes as my two front main lights and they work awesome! They may be cheaper than most soft boxes, but well worth the money. I encourage if you buy these, to buy the FL55 fluorescent lights to use in them. I do not trust using the bulb lights that come with them, they get to hot! Assembly is not hard once you figure it out. I am thinking about buying another pair!

I use these lights for taking digital photo's of product (frames, artwork, small hardware) and they do a nice job.
I've got a lot of experience with lightboxes and these are a little less convenient to set up. They're a little awkward compared to higher end models but they are functional. The light stands are also kind of low quality with sub par design. For the price though, these are not a bad deal. I wouldn't recommend these for someone that plans to pack and move the lights often. When the lightbox is broken down there is no cover for the lightbulb so you will have to either take it out or come up with your own "cap" for it.

I use the softboxes for studio portraits. The product is built very well and sturdy. The only problem was it did not come with instructions to put it together.
