Even though it is a defined by Kata as a backpack, you can use it like a sling pack as well. I usually swing it to my left side because I place my Nikon D90 with Nikon 17-55 lens in the bottom compartment. I place it in the 'loop' where the battery charger and AA batteries are in the KATA picture. It's a little tight in that area. Sometimes, I just place it on its side horizontally in the entire bottom compartment and zip it shut for quick stow away and retrieval. Maybe, a 50mm/f1.4 with my D90 would fit easier in the vertical position in the 'loop'. My 85/f1.4 is in the top compartment(with plenty of room to spare.) One time, I did rent a Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 lens and zipped out the center wall. It could fit, but nothing else without banging into each other (unless you have separate pouches for lenses or flashes).
My Dell 420 with extra capacity battery just fits in the laptop section. Zippers are good quality throughout, but sometimes you have to work it a bit before it closes if you're using one hand.
The backpack straps are 'stiff' but have thick cushion. My shoulders aren't that broad, but it feels just a tad snug. I'm 5'8" and wear a size 42 suit. I think anyone bigger might feel it to be a little tight.
I like the fact that Kata is not as well known as Lowepro (or other popular brands) so you're not announcing to the world that I have a nice camera inside. It is sleek and has a nice thin profile.

I have been searching for the perfect backpack to carry my DSLR and tele lense. This one seems to be close but a couple of issues are going to have it going back. First, the bottle holder is completely useless, bottle must be less than 2" in diameter to fit. Not huge but what could they be thinking. This is the second Kata bag that had this issue. Second, the laptop feature, even if your laptop fits, is useless. I put my MacBook in the pouch and when you put the backpack on it doesn't sit comfortably. No way could you carry this pack with a laptop for any significant amount of time. One good point is the storage section for the camera. It is well designed and holds the camera securely.

Comments about Kata Sensitivity V Ergo-Tech Backpack - for Digital Camera and 12" Laptop Computer with Accessories:
I did a lot of research for a backpack that was able to carry a 13" Macbook and an Olympus PEN E-PL1. A lot of the packs that I looked at were enormous, featuring enough space for 15" or 17" notebooks, which is just way too big for what I needed.
Then, I came across the Sensitivity V by Kata. Advertised to fit 12" notebooks, I did a little searching and found that there was enough room for a 13" Macbook. In fact, I'm able to fit the Macbook and an iPad in the laptop portion.
The larger pockets have lot of nooks and crannies for holding lenses, memory cards, anything you have. I also love the pocket on the top with the headphone hole and the neoprene construction, although it does absorb a bit of water in the rain.

This computer back pack takes a common sense approach to caring for and carrying a computer while at the same time can be used for several other purposes as well. such as a storage pack for camera gear.

I use this as my everyday school backpack and carry it with me everywhere.
I can hold my 7D + 15-85mm IS with lens hood on the top compartment. There is a pouch in the top compartment as well (resembles a small pencil case), which as a lens cleaning kit in it.
The lower compartment currently holds a 50mm f/1.8, Ultrapod, rubber lens hood, step up ring, as well as the AC adapter for my 10" netbook, which easily fits into the notebook compartment.
The upper side pocket meant for larger music players (I think) holds a travel size contact fluid. Theres also a pocket for a water bottle.
I was originally afraid it would be too small for my needs, but the fear was unwarranted. It works perfectly, and looks awesome too!
I will say that the straps are a bit bulky, but they are comfortable.

What I need to pack--
1. Nikon D5000, with Nikon 18-200 VRII lens, battery packs, memory cards and reader
2. Small camera- Canon G9, battery packs
3. HP 2730p tablet (12.1 inch), power cord
4. iPod with charger
5. a small cleaning kit, a couple of maps, water bottle and an apple or two :)
In future possibly a 500mm telephoto lens
What I have done so far--
I have bought 7 bags, including National Geographic and the famous swiss bag. Out of those 7, I ended up returning 5, while on two occasions I thought that I could get used to them! Of course, I did not.
Limitations of most bags that I have tried-
Most bags are built with professionals in mind, so they have too much space, excessive padding, huge size and kill your shoulders, back and everything in between. Most of these bags also have 15-17 inch notebooks in mind! I never liked the idea of lugging around huge notebook- kind of defeated the idea of mobility! Oh well.
What I wanted--
1. I like to travel and wanted a bag that I could use as I explore cities and bird sanctuaries, without getting bogged down by the burden of all the stuff!
2. Something to pack all the things listed above and still not injure my back. I was NOT looking for messenger bag. I tried some and after packing everything the weight was just too much. So, I wanted a backpack that would also have style too :)
So, this one is a perfect bag for someone looking for easy to carry, stylish bag that is big enough to pack all your gadgets but not so huge that once you pack it you cannot carry it! One more thing, the two compartments on the front can also be converted into one for a telephoto lens as it the divided by a zipper only! Super cool!
The only thing that I wish was better was the access to camera. With the lens attached on the camera body, it could get a bit tricky at times.

I was looking for a backpack which could carry my Nikon D90 with 18-200mm VR II lens mounted and also accomodate my 13" MacBookPro. Finally I found this bag and this is just awesome. The material of the bag is very strong, it is very stylish and very compact.
Even after putting the camera, there is plenty of room to carry accessories for my camera as well the MBP accessories.
I am amazed by the ability of this bag to carry so many items in such a compact shape. Please keep in mind that this bag is very compact in nature, so people with a huge built might find this bag very small to carry.

This is a great bag, which I bought at B&H in 2008 to use when travelling. It is a handy size, lightweight and fits nicely in airline overhead bins.
I bought this particular bag as I looking for a bag that did not say I am a camera bag. I wanted something stylish that offered storage and easy access for a Nikon D60 with 18-105 lens, power pack, together with filters, flash unit, batteries, cables, storage cards, cleaning tools, mini tripod and a 15in laptop. The bag's laptop compartment was designed for 12in laptops, so I compromised and bought it. It had almost everything I was looking for.
I've lived with the bag for over 2 years and still love it. The storage, ease of access and overall weight still works well for me. I now have a Nikon D5000 which is slightly bigger and heavier, which it stores comfortably in the main compartment. The straps are comfortable and work well on one shoulder as on two. I am still looking for a bag with the stylish characteristic of the Sensitive-V that will hold a 15in laptop. I guess I'll need to wait for the bigger version.

Bought this to replace a very old satchel style bag that was stolen. Then by the time I left B&H I also had a new Nikon D300! I bit of a tight fit carrying it with the 18-200 VR lens attached and 2 other lenses and filters and an extra battery and a cell phone, and sunglasses - actually I guess this bag holds a lot of stuff and has super comfortable shoulder straps. The straps work just as well on one shoulder as two. Laptop storage is a bit small - thought my 15" MacBook Pro would fit, but not quite.

This backpack is ideal for efficiency and security... if your toys fit. I own a very small laptop (10 inch), and it fits well, as do my digital SLR and smaller camcorder. However, if your equipment runs larger, or if you have more than a couple interchangeable lenses, you might find it a tight fit.
Handy features include the cell phone and iPod pockets in the shoulder straps, for easy access while wearing. The backpack sits high on me, but I'm rather tall, and it turns into a plus when riding my bike, so it isn't rubbing on the lower back.
All in all, I am in love with this bag. The only thing is, I might run into trouble if I choose to upgrade my laptop any time soon...

Great bag! Comfortable, great quality, love the yellow interior and external pockets. Neoprene fabric keeps my gear safe and dry. Good bag for day trips. Only wishes would be to have a tripod holder and that the lens we box style like the lowepros and others.
Also the external phone and media pockets are a little small.

I just started taking pictures with a Dslr and find myself walking around with the neck strap on a lot. All the other camera bags looked really weird, too big, or just didn't allow me to put a binder or laptop in it. The sensitivity V looks great, light, I can fit my School things: 5 star flex binder, a novel, calculator, composition notebook, pens and pencils while still having enough space left over for my Canon Xsi with kit lens, a 50mm lens( both lens with hoods on), a small rocket, charger, memory card case, lens caps, card reader, and usb cable.
This bag is good for anyone wanting to travel light weight. The bag feels good, secure and can fit a lot of stuff.
The only Con is the two pockets on the straps. Don't bother putting anything in them, its hard enough to put your fingers in and reach, let alone put something in it.

I've started using this pack almost daily so that I can keep my important personal articles and work stuff handy, as well as my D200 with a lens or two. It has proven to be a comfortable, durable and versatile bag thus far. My only negative is that it does not fit the larger laptops, but I am planning to get a more compact laptop soon anyway.

This is one of the best backpacks I've ever owned. After buying the Canon 40D, I needed something that would handle the new camera, along with an HD-Video camera. It easily handled both and more. The only thing I would change about the backpack is allowing for a 15" laptop.
Comments about Kata Sensitivity V Ergo-Tech Backpack - for Digital Camera and 12" Laptop Computer with Accessories:
Wedding Photographers, are you needing a compact pack to use on your assignments? You can carry your full SLR with lens, and two additional lenses without worry. Need to carry a large telephoto lens, no problem, just unzip the divider in the middle and you'll have plenty of space. Special pockets in the flaps (openings) will carry any paper or soft contents. Pockets are provided for your memory storage, pens, and even a soft zippered pouch for odd items. Need to carry your flash? Again you have plenty of space. I even carry a Sekonic Light meter too! If you only carry minimal camera needs this is going to be a great case for you! In addition, I use this pack for everyday travels as well as traveling thru airports. For those of you who prefer not to carry a laptop, use the compartment for magazines, brochures, etc. I carry a Canon 5-D with Battery Grip and lens, filters, flash, spare batteries and memory cards, plus a light meter. If you're looking to downsize to a smaller bag this is a great choice. The pictures dont do this product justice!!!
Problems Encountered: The phone compartment on the straps is a little weak, keep cell phones in your pockets to be safe. I use the strap compartments for phone accessories!
Previous Equivalent Items Owned: I also own, the Kata 205 and it's beyond full!
