Leica Neoprene Case with Short Front Overview

The Leica Neoprene Case M with Short Front (Black) is a fitted neoprene case made to protect and carry a Leica M series digital camera with a lens up to 86mm. Velcro beware

Overall great - but 1 catch (and minus 1 star) is that if any hook side of velcro (hard, not fuzzy side) catches on neoprene, it will leave ugly pilling marks and damage the fabric. My camera bag is full of velcro and I almost have to protect the case from them. Thought neoprene would be more rugged for what it was advertised, and it is rugged but just not against velcro. Can remove the pilling with a pilling remover though but it's a hassle.

As with most people of the Q2 list I have not received my pre ordered camera, unfortunately. So I do not know if this will fit the Q2 as stated, but I can say it appears to be well made. The case was on sale so I was willing to take a chance.

Yes, Leica Neoprene Case with Short Front will acommodate your Leica M-P film camera with a 50mm summilux lens. It is not a custom fit therefore you can use it with other lenses.

Will the Leica D Lux (typ 109) with handgrip fit into the neoprene case with short front?

I think that it should fit. I have use this neoprene case with a V-Lux, which is larger and bulkier than the D Lux 109, and it works quite well. I would check case and camera demensions in advance, but my guess is that it should fit fine. I have enjoyed my case -- very protective of the camera.

I had ordered it for my M w short lense. It fit just fine. No experience with the Q, although I am guessing it would work. I ended up going with the OP/Tech case. Found it was better for my purposes after comparing the Leica case, Zing case and OP/Tech case. John
