Logitech X-140 Stereo Speaker System - 5W
The X-140 Stereo Speaker System from Logitech offers crisp and clear stereo audio output. Designed to provide clear audio the speakers feature 2W output per channel. The speakers are ideally suited for use with a computer or MP3 player but are versatile enough to be driven by DVD players, televisions and game consoles. These speakers are a great option to use with your computer.
- Stereo Output
- Each speaker is driven by a 2.75" high-excursion driver and a 3" pressure driver, giving you stereo sound that can be easily connected to any audio device with an 1/8" (3.5 mm) stereo minijack output.
- Headphone Jack and Auxiliary Input
- An 1/8" (3.5 mm) stereo headphone jack is located on the front of one speaker allowing you to switch from speakers to headphones. A standard auxiliary input is also located on the front of a speaker.
- Easy Controls
- Volume and power controls are located on one of the speakers, letting you quickly and easily adjust the output and turn the speakers on or off.

I like those speakers which replaced some older Creative ones. Good size for an stationary laptop, which is my case, and desktops. Good quality, sturdy materials, not soft cloths that get broken with time but a metallic mesh. On and off control with the volume knob. No transformer!!! but just the wire to plug to your AC outlet. Tone knob is fine too even though it does not make too much of a difference. Excellent combination with the laptop speakers. By the way, you cannot go wrong with its price!!!

I haven't had these speakers very long, but so far, I'm impressed. As a lifelong audiophile, I'm quite discerning when it comes to sound. No, these don't deliver the top-quality sound that you would get from expensive, top-quality speakers, but if you want decent sound in an inexpensive package, these are a good choice. I shopped around among other brands and read all the reviews I could find before I settled on these. Almost everyone else seems to like them, too. The fact that they have metal front grilles is very nice. It's good protection for the speaker cones. They have good rubber feet and are heavy enough that they don't slide around on a smooth surface. The cables are thick and strong, not wimpy. The only drawback that I've found, if you can call it that, is that the volume control is a little stiff and hard to turn. Compared to the overall quality, however, this is a very minor complaint. I would certainly recommend these to anyone who wants better sound than you get from built-in computer speakers and doesn't want to spend a fortune to get it.

I would have probably given this system a 5 star if I had more time to evaluate it but so far I am very pleased with the performance as self powered computer speakers. They provide the volume needed to hear my programs that I listen to anywhere I happen to be. I also appreciate the additional tone controll and auxilary ports for headphones and an input port for an MP3 player.

These speakers are quite good for the money, I use them for music and spoken word and both sound fine. They seem very well built and I really like that they are heavy and dont fall down every time they are brushed up against. The only small drawback is that they do have a rather loud click when they are first turned on.

I bought these speakers to use with a portable DVD player for my working glass studio. I have several noisy machine running while working and it was always hard to hear a tv or radio. So I bought these and WOW!!! They are exactly what I needed. The sound is reliable, easy to turn up or down and convenient for the portable DVD player! Who wouldn't want this kind of easy to use set of speakers. They're compact and easy to use! Love having them when I'm in a hotel and freinds/family want to watch a DVD...everyone can actually hear!

I highly recommend these as cheap speakers for classrooms. They're cheap, sound decent, have enough power, and have fixed wires so there are no wires to be lost or mis-configured. I would buy these again or m-audio av30/40 for better sound.

Very nice sound for the price. I got these for a TV in the kitchen which has the worst built-in speakers ever produced. They have surprising bass for the size. There is also a convenient Aux-in in front for MP3 players and such.
