Walkstool is a unique company making an even more unique and extremely useful product. The Walkstool Comfort 65 XXL is born of fine Swedish engineering and provides a portable posterior platform - in other words, a seat for all occasions. Whereas a folding chair or stool is nothing new, this Walkstool's clever design makes it stand out from the rest. The two primary issues Walkstool's designers focused on were compact size and load strength and the final product reflects their careful engineering and dedication.

The primary benefit of the Walkstool is the prevention of back strain or fatigue while keeping a person elevated to a comfortable height. This is useful for sports, event, and press photographers who spend many hours on their feet, squatting or on their knees. It is also good for campers and other outdoor enthusiasts or simply anyone who needs a seat in a location where a comfortable chair may be hard to come by.

The Walkstool Comfort line features lightweight and ultra-portable stools with two height positions depending on whether the telescoping legs are extended or not. Transportation of these sub-two lbs stools is a breeze, as it collapses into a compact form that can be easily carried in a camera bag, backpack, or tool bag to be taken just about anywhere. The Comfort line improves on the Basic line with a larger seat, different size seat mesh material, and larger rubber feet to prevent the stool legs from getting stuck in the mud.

Will hold up to 550 lbs
When folded, it is not much larger than a small tripod
Swedish design and construction
Height Min/Max 26" (65 cm) / 15" (37 cm)
Folded/Transport Length 18" (44 cm)
Seat 16" (40 cm)
Maximum Load Capacity 550 lbs (250 kg)
Weight 1.88 lbs (850g)

My husband took me to one of the largest Farm Shows, in Louisville, KY. I knew if we went he would tire easily and want to go quickly. So, a friend of ours had these, and I decided it was just what we needed. And, boy did it come in handy. Eating lunch there at the concessions stands, no place to sit. Not us, I just pulled out the walk stools and we could sit where ever we wanted and whenever we wanted.

Thanks to the people at Walkstool, you made our trip to the farmshow wonderful!

After receiving the Walkstool I attached it to my camera bag backpack via a bungee cord. As soon as I started my hike, the extension legs started sliding down (from the closed folded posistion) and started to hit me in the lages & backside. I removed my backpackpack and tried to lock the legs closed. No luck! the legs just won't stay closed when you carry the walkstool in the verticial position. You well have to place the stool the the carring bag to keep the legs for sliding open . This is a pain because everytime that you wan't to use th stool you well have to remove it form the carring bag .
This is a German designed product and someone was not thinking.
I have solved the problem by attaching the stool upside- down so the legs stay in place. Still poor design.

I photograph birds as a hobby as well as other wildlife and find having a stool saves my knees, much easier to rise from a stool than from the ground when the moment arrives.

This stool has given me the ability to shoot from lower angels and has taken a great weight off of my knees. It has already made my shots more interesting by giving me another angle to shoot from.

Great for the knees and very sturdy.

            No complaints so far.

Comments about Walkstool Comfort 65 XX-Large Folding Stool:

This is great for those long waits for the bird to return to roost, especially in conjunction with my tripod and Wemberly. My only detraction is that it is fixed-height, not adjustable. The manufacturer claims you can use it without extending the legs, but the "footprint" is so small as to make it like riding a unicycle. Well built, sturdy, lightweight.

Very comfortable chair! I'm 300 Lbs and it held me without a sound nor buckle. I have back problems so having this available to me all the time is wounderful. And it's light enough to take with you all the time. It is expensive! But for me it's well worth it. And if you want a comfortable, light chair that you can take with you all the time, and if you have a back or knee problem then this is the chair for you! And in NYC it draws a lot of attention..

As a wildlife photographer I'm sometimes required to sit for hours at a time waiting for the right moment. I needed a stool that was light, yet strong enough to support my 255#'s.

This stool is amazing. It's fits in the monopod holder on my camera bag yet is sturdy and comfortable.

The stool isn't the most comfortable thing but when you're on your feet for long periods and just want to take a load off for a few minutes it works great. Greg [@]

One of the best tools I walk around with effortlessly! This stool is worth ever penny of it's admittedly high price. I use this product and really beat it up with only the rubber feet wearing away, reasonably so since I use it on asphalt and concrete a lot. The horrible review this product received is absolutely unwarranted. Anyone I invite to sit on it is totally blown away by its comfort and light weight.

Comments about Walkstool Comfort 65 XX-Large Folding Stool:

I have looked for a stool like this for some time. One that was tall enough that you were not squatting when you sat down and strong enough not to bend. When I found this I thought it would be ideal. When I received the stool it looked impressive, well built and engineered. The first time I used it one of the legs bent enough that it will no longer retract. The specifications rate the stool for 550 lbs but my 195 was evidently too much. At nearly $100 after s&h I expected much more.
