The Elinchrom D-Lite2 is an entry-level 200 watt/second monolight with a five f/stop power adjustment range. The power levels are clearly visible in digital readouts on the rear of the unit. It is lightweight, accepts a common household bulb as a modeling light, and recycles in 0.8 seconds at full power.
The D-Lite is also available as a 400 watt/second unit, known as the D-Lite4. The D-Lite Series monolights are also available in two light kits, which include stands, softboxes and cases.

I have two of these that I use for background, hair, or when I need a lower power light. They are perfect for that. Excellent color and easy adjustment. The digital controls are great for the price.
