Impact VA902 Three Lamp Fluorescent Cool Light (120VAC)
The Impact VA902 Three Lamp Cool Light is an economical fluorescent head that draws only 90 Watts, yet delivers 4,500 lumens, and is 5500°K daylight balanced without the need for color conversion filters.
The included 13" reflector provides a wide, even spread of light, and a diffusion panel (also included) can optionally be used for even softer portrait lighting.
- The head angle is easily adjusted with its convenient positioning handle and tilting 5/8" light stand mount.
- It includes a 13' detachable grounded power cord.

I just used two of these lamps for a video shoot in a very hot venue; they emitted almost no heat, were light and easy to move, were quiet, and functioned well as a main light source, as fill, and as hair lights. The price is very reasonable and includes three fluorescent bulbs. The lamps fit onto standard impact stands (not included) and come with two replacement fuses, but be aware that a fuse is already in the unit. It's somewhat hard to open the little drawer to get to the fuse (should you ever need to replace it), but you probably won't have to do this any time soon. An excellent buy.

Very good light output, and well balanced color temp. I especially like the "computer power cord plug" on the light body which allows one to use the very long supplied cord or a shorter cord from an old computer. The supplied diffuser elimates hot spots for my applications. The adjustable angle clamp is a bit undersize and should be more robust for the size of the lamp assembly. I do product photography in a studio setting.

Surprisingly small in spite of three bulbs. The bulbs supplied are tall and skinny. The spacing is tight since the bulbs do not fan out. The central threaded rod to hold the plastic diffuser disk (which blocks just the center area, the ends of the bulbs, with a white plastic diffuser), takes up what little room there is between the lights. Finding bulbs of decent high rating that fit may be a problem. But works great with the tall skinny ones supplied.
Only one switch so it is all or nothing unlike a five or nine bulb where you can adjust output by switching on and off bulbs. Heavy like all CFL fixtures but not as front heavy and tipsy as some. The small size makes this a useful light for tight places with much better output than any single CFL fixture could provide. Compared to a five bulb 18 inch it looks almost tiny.
