The Panasonic AG-HSC1U AVCHD SD/SDHC HD Camcorder is the smallest Professional high definition camera on the market. However despite it's small size the AG-HSC1U is impressively well equipped. Its Leica Dicomar lens, 12x optical zoom, 5.1-ch surround sound recording, and 3" LCD screen are just the beginning of the plethora of features Panasonic included on this sleek camcorder.

Panasonic included Optical Image Stabilization and takes advantage of SDHC memory card technology to give you the ability to capture up to one hour of 1080i on a 4GB SDHC card (included). The video clips can then be transferred to the included 40GB SD-SDHC compatible storage device. The AG-HSC1U also features Panasonic Professional Color Calibration technology, giving this tiny camcorder the same true-color capabilities of Panasonic's professional camcorders.

With an ultra-fast 1.7 second quick start time and weighing less than a pound, the AG-HSC1U is the prefect camera to carry around with you wherever you go.

Key Features

• 12x Optical 700x Digital Zoom: Equipped with a 12x optical zoom that lets you close-in on your subject with a pure optical quality, and the 700x digital zoom that lets you go all the way out for incredible close-ups.

• 1/4" 3-CCD Sensor: The camcorder maximizes it's capability by using a 3 CCD system, assigning a separate CCD to each primary color (red, green, blue). A beam-splitting prism precisely separates the light passing through the lens into individual color components, and each is sent to its own CCD. This process achieves outstanding detail with highly accurate color reproduction, suitable for the demands of the high-end production field - wide dynamic range, low color noise, natural color resolution and low aliasing.

• 3" Wide LCD: You can use the monitor to check wide-angle shots in digital HD. Because it is a hybrid system, you can still see the LCD monitor outside, even on the brightest and most sunny days. With its 211,000 pixels, the pictures are extra clear and rich for easy detailed viewing.

• 16:9 Widescreen Recording Mode: 16:9 recording mode uses the full width of its CCD to capture video in actual widescreen for superior playback on home theater systems and PC monitors. Just click the Widescreen Button and switch effortlessly from 4:3 to 16:9.

• Superior Quality Leica Dicomar Lens: The Leica Dicomar lens incorporates advanced Leica optical technology. The use of low-dispersion glass reduces color aberration and increases resolution, while a multi-coating process minimizes flare and ghosting. This results in sharp, crisp, beautifully rendered images with delicate nuances and exceptional shading.

• Optical Image Stabilizer: Panasonic's advanced Optical Image Stabilizer dramatically reduces the blurring caused by hand-shake. Optical processing with an automatic correction function helps assure consistently clear and sharp images.

• 40GB Storage Drive: There's no need to worry about storage space, even when theres no computer nearby. Simply store all your video clips on the included 40GB storage drive.
