Comments about Canon PowerShot A560 Digital Camera:
Picked up this camera as a go in you pocket anywhere point-n-shoot. Very pleased with performance and image quality. 2.5 viewfinder is bright and easy to see even outdoors. Camera starts up quickly and can shoot 3 FPS. Video quality is pretty good also. I recommend shooting on manual mode, -2/3 exp. AWB, Vivid color setting. Face detection works surprisingly well for a camera this inexpensive. Have recommended to three friends who actually purchased this camera. All are very happy with the A560. Hard to beat a camera like this at under $140. Would give this camera 5 stars across the board if it had IS.

Problems Encountered: If you need IS, step up to the A570. Keep extra batteries on hand...this camera can chew through them quickly if you are shooting lots of flash. Flash causes camera to be slow to cycle (slow between shots).

Comments about Canon PowerShot A560 Digital Camera:
I got this camera because I needed something small fortravel that took good pictures. Overall I found the picturequality to very good after I had adjusted the compression tofine. Of course it doesn't quite stack up to my Canon RebelXT but it does fit in my pocket. The video capability isalso reasonable. For features, this is my first experiencewith face recognition software and I was surprised on howwell it worked. The camera does a quite a bit of lag timein shooting and between pictures but for most shots thisisn't a problem.
