7.1 Megapixel Resolution
The 7.1 megapixel CCD image sensor provides high resolution images so you'll be able to produce photo quality prints at sizes up to 16x20 inches, or crop images while maintaining an astounding level of detail.
10x Fujinon Lens
The Fujinon 10X optical zoom lens provides a 35mm focal range equivalent of 38mm - 380mm and helps to bring your subject closer with superb clarity, while the impressive Super Macro capability permits a minimum focus as close as 0.4" (1cm) . In addition, the camera is equipped with a 4.8x digital zoom, combined with the optical zoom provides an incredible 48x total zoom range for capturing even the smallest details of your subject.
Picture Stabilization Technology
Taking advantage of the cameras ISO 1600 sensitivity and high shutter speeds provided by Fujifilm's latest LSI Chip, the Picture Stabilization feature automatically uses professional photographic techniques to help reduce camera shake, freeze subject movement and improve low light background detail, for the highest quality digital pictures.
i-Flash Inelligent Flash System
Fujifilm's i-Flash system ensures your image is always properly exposed with just the right amount of light, resulting in more natural looking subjects and backgrounds that are bright and full of crisp detail. It recognizes scene conditions and determines the optimum flash output to ensure superb results.
14 Pre-programmed Scene Modes
The FinePix S700 features 14 pre-programmed scene modes that offer a one-touch setting for almost any situation, including Portrait, Landscape, Sport, Night, Fireworks, Sunset, Snow, Beach, Museum, Party, Flower, or Text.
Dual Shot Mode
The dual shot mode is ideal in those situations where you are not sure if the picture would be better with or without the use of the flash. In this mode, the camera will take two pictures with one press of the shutter button; one with flash, to capture a bright, vivid image, and the other without flash, to capture the natural ambience of the shot - and then saves both images. This convenient function lets the user perform a comparison at their convenience and select the most pleasing image.
TV-quality Video Recording
The FinePix S700 includes a VGA Quality Movie mode that captures at a rate of 30 fps with sound, so you can use your compact digital still camera to produce broadcast quality video clips.
2.5" LCD Display and Electronic Viewfinder
The FinePix S700 features both a large, 2.5" LCD Display, and an Electronic Viewfinder using a 0 .24" LCD. Both offer a fast refresh rate, and a resolution of 230,000 pixels for a more natural looking, brilliantly bright and detailed view of your image while framing or playing back your image.
Dual Media Slot and Built-in Memory
The Finepix S700 includes 27MB of Built-in memory so you'll be able to begin shooting, right out of the box. Plus the camera features a Dual Card Slot allowing the use of either xD-Picture Card or the popular Secure Digital (SD) media to store and transfer your photos, assuring compatibility with a wide variety of computer based gadgets and media players.
USB 2.0 Interface and PictBridge Compatibility
With the fast USB 2.0 interface, you'll be able to transfer your images and video clips to your computer quickly and easily, or connect the camera to a PictBridge compliant printer and print your favorite images without the need of a computer at all.
