The Steadicam Pilot-VL is a state of the art, lightweight stabilizer system designed especially for the modern breed of lightweight cameras weighing 2 to 10 pounds. It features a 5.8" monitor, Iso-elastic Arm, ultra low-profile vest, lightweight sled with CarbonLite expandable post, and a backpack.
- VL Option
- The VL option allows the monitor to be powered by V-Lock batteries by including a V-Lock battery mount.
- Iso-Elastic Arm
- The Iso-Elastic arm is a two-section, articulated, design that can be adjusted while supporting the camera. With this patented, unique design, the Steadicam operator can smoothly and effortlessly raise or lower the arm throughout its 28" boom range.
- Vest
- A low profile vest allows the Iso-Elastic Arm to work in a very smooth fashion.
- Low Mass Gimbal
- Utilizing a proven Low Mass Gimbal the operator has the ability to capture the fluid movement that only Steadicam can provide.
- LCD Monitor
- A 5.8" 16:9 LCD monitor is offered for great images and an upgrade to a modern aspect ratio.

It's just an amazing piece of equipment! The quality is just superb! I was thinking about getting a Flyer's vest as didnt like an idea of velcros on the Pilot's one, but apparently they ship it now with the buckles mod included (and fitted)!!! so, i'm glad that i didnt spend extra $1500. Would be nice to see 7" instead of 5.8" though.

WOW, All I can say is WOW! This has taken the quality of my production to a whole new level. I'm getting shots now that you can't do without a steadicam. It works with great with my small Sony Z-7 and is not hard on the back. Just learn how to balance this and learn how to use it correctly and you will be thrilled as I am with the end results of your productions.
