The Benro MC-98n6 8X Carbon Fiber Monopod offers the ultimate in strength, lightweight, fast action and reliable performance. It uses 8-layer, 2nd generation carbon fiber technology for its leg construction. This 8x tubing is 60% stronger overall than conventional carbon fiber tripods. This is achieved by using more fibers and less epoxy in the manufacturing blend.
This monopod features a fold out tripod at its base, for added support and stability. This allows the monopod to be used with much heavier weight loads.

Comments about Benro MC-98n6 8X Carbon Fiber Monopod:
This monopod extremely easy to use. Learning curve about 20 minutes. Its light and very strong. I use the monopod with a Canon G10 to get sharper pictures even with the cameras antishake feature. Easy and fast setup the folding legs are easily quieted with a small rubber band.
Got the #234 manfrotto head which completes my setup.

Comments about Benro MC-98n6 8X Carbon Fiber Monopod:
I have used this on solid ground and on soft ground. The legs, though small, can even stand up to trail/hiking photos. With a little maneuvering, this mono-pod does well on mountain tops with wind.

Comments about Benro MC-98n6 8X Carbon Fiber Monopod:
I used to have the old Manfrotto 694 and needed a new one. So i ordered a new one, but they are now only 65" tall! With this Benro I have no problem standing on milk crates or step stools and still having enough monopod so I don't have to crouch. The twist locks are smooth and easy to use. I liked the clamps from the 694 but these are EASIER to use, except I keep forgetting which way to turn them. These are thicker than the 694 also. Feels hefty and will hold 22lbs. The only bad thing is the tripod legs that hide inside the monopod rattle if you dont rubberband them together, easily taken care of though. I liked this so much I got rid of my 694 and got two of these! Good job Benro!

Comments about Benro MC-98n6 8X Carbon Fiber Monopod:
Very easy to use, lightweight and packable. Extends to a height that exceeds most others on the market and is just tall enough to take shots above crowds. The tripod base assembles very easily and stores nicely inside the bottom of the monopod. The aluminum legs rattle a bit however. Nothing a small amount of tape cant fix. One con is that it has a hard time standing completely still on its own, but if this is what you are after you should be looking at standard tripods.
