With this instrument I am absolutely confident that if anything is on the sensor, I will spot it. When you try it, you will see how clearly it works.
How you clean the sensor of any fine particles is a subject for debate, but this scope will allow you to see if there is something on it.
This scope can be used as a lighted magnifier for checking your lens surfaces or even locating a splinter in your finger if need be. Whenever you need a combination of a magnifier and a flashlight, this scope works very well. It is easy to use and easy to see through.
It also comes with a quality pouch.

That's about all this is. Keeping the light on means keeping the button pressed. Would be better with press-on, press-off switch. I found keeping the button pressed difficult (must be getting arthritis). Have to admit I saw this complaint in another review but thought it couldn't be that bad. Seeing into the corners of a full-size sensors requires looking in at a low angle so expect lots of distortion. On some cameras, I had to lift of the camera to focus on the sensor. It's a nifty ideal. It does work as advertised though so I can't complain about that. Surprising how much junk is left on a "clean" sensor and visible with this. For the price, I almost think I'd rig up a PVC pipe, magnifying glass, and some LEDs (or just use a magnifying glass and flashlight). Thinking about it, I could have used my swing-arm, circular light with the magnifying glass in the center and been hands free. Kind of hard to put that in a camera case though.

Comments about Delkin Devices Sensor Scope with Bag:
Was looking for a good way to save time when cleaning my 50D sensor. This was the perfect solution. The star rating is so low because the product was shipped to me with dead batteries. After making a seperarate trip to buy new batteries for $7.99, this scope worked as described. However, the glass also had to be cleaned before I used it the first time too. The construction is pretty flimsy---I can imagine dropping it once and that would be it. The glass seems to be held in place with glue which is visible on the edges where the plastic lens meets the plastic body.

I did not know about a product like this until a recent camera club meeting. With this product, one can easily see where spots may be coming from on their pictures. Sensors are easy to clean and usually a good blowing and following good procedures with handling lens will minimize your problems. I would purchase and recommend this product to any serious camera user.

Comments about Delkin Devices Sensor Scope with Bag:
I clean digital sensors ofeten so this was an essental buy. It works great (but see below) with all the cameras I have serviced including Nikon D60/D40, D200/D300, Canon 40D/50D, and Leica M8. A must for DIY sensor cleaning.
When I recieved my scope it originally did not work when the ON button was pressed. I had to "modify" the battery compartment so that when the button was pressed it acutally made contact with the battery and lit up. This was easier/faster for me to do than reutrn the scope and wait for a new one. Obviously QC is not up to par.

The Sensor Scope will speed up the sensor cleaning process. I used to swab, take sky images to check if sensor dust still on sensor, swab and repeat.

Works exactly as advertised on canon 30 D. It is a critical tool for sensor cleaning, saves you hours. Comes ready to use out of the box.

Simple concept and it's very useful. I'm a n00b to photography and have an EOS 50D. Thought I might have some nasties on the sensor, and didn't have any equipment so I snagged this after watching a few videos online.
It allowed me to see my sensor- which did have a couple of specks and then clean and reinspect. Good tool. Good price.

If you haven't looked at your sensor under some type of scope....you will be shocked what is on it. This well made, works great, packaged well, (nice case to keep it in)and easy to use.
Use with Delkin's wet cleaning kit for complete sensor care.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I haven't used but one other scope, so my experience is limited. And, as with any "universal" item, perfect adapted fit to your camera may not be exact. But, by no means would keep me from buying it again

Comments about Delkin Devices Sensor Scope with Bag:
I really like this product. I found it easy to use and it worked very well spotting dust on my sensor. What I don't like is that when I have to go clean dust of the sensor I have to remove the scope completely from the camera and then use the cleaning tool. I have seen similar products that do the same thing but have an opening on the side and a cleaning tool that bends at a right angle so you can continue to look down into the camera and clean the dust off.

I do not have a lens for every camera so I have to change lenses. Dust gets in and I have to edit my photos afterwards. I used this Scope and I saw every partical and hair. I removed it and this scope shows every small detail. I definitely will advice all my students to buy one of these scopes.

This product works as well as advertised. It made inspecting my sensor easy. The included bag is large enough to hold my other cleaning equipment; it's handy to be able to keep all those materials together.

My friend has one (the complete kit with vacuum, etc.). I had no idea how dirty my sensor was until viewing with my friend's sensor scope. I immediately bought one. My recommendation is to just buy the sensor scope(no vacuum, etc), and blow off the sensor with a Giotto's rocket blower. This works fine for me!
I have since used many times!

Comments about Delkin Devices Sensor Scope with Bag:
This product is what it is. It does a good job lighting and magnifying the sensor (or any small area). The only issue I have found is that you have to hold the power buttong to keep the light on. And it takes some pressure to keep it on. So a better design might be a toggle switch that allows you hands-free operation. Because mates up with the camera body, you can't really be working on the sensor while looking through the scope, so it's not a prohibitive issue. It would just be a little better if the light stayed on.
All in all, it's great and you couldn't do the job without this or something similar. It also seems a little pricey for what it is, but it was less money than other products that I could find.
