An Eyepiece is required to hold cover to camera and maintain waterproofing.

The Aqua Tech SS-300 Sport Shield Rain Cover (Camouflage) is primarily designed to fit Nikon or Canon digital or film SLR cameras, with lenses up to 15 x 6.0" attached. It is made of high-quality, 3-ply, waterproof, breathable fabric, fully tape seam sealed with waterproof silicone sealing around the view windows. It is made with YKK weatherproof zippers for ease of application and removal. The rain cover provides a watertight seal around lens front. The one-piece design provides complete enclosure and moisture protection for both the camera body and lens with a "glove-like" fit. It is designed with a waterproof sleeve to access and operate the camera controls safely and easily.

There are draw strings on hand access and tripod sleeve for protection when not in use. It has waterproof view windows to monitor camera functions. The eyepiece cover flap protects the viewfinder when not in use.

Note! Requires an eyepiece to hold cover to camera and maintain waterproofing.

Sport Shield rain covers are designed to protect professional cameras and lenses from adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, salt air, and sand. They are manufactured using a versatile, high-performance and Multi-Layer Barrier Fabric System. This design seals the fabric with a series of coatings or "layers" that prevent driving rain, water, snow or dust from entering the fabric. 1
The Multi Layer Barrier Fabric System "sandwiches" the textile. The outside face is treated with a Teflon water-repellant finish preventing surface absorption of water, dirt, dust and oil. The inside surface is coated with three successive layers of a specially engineered formula which combine to create a tough, durable and permanent waterproof system. 2

Comments about Aqua Tech SS-300 Sport Shield Rain Cover (Camouflage):

It is a little cumbersome to put on and use camera with it on, but after some practice it works great. Definitely try it on and play with it before going out into the rain with it. I found I can manipulate zoom by just turning from the outside and basically have almost full control over the camera.

I would definitely recommend, but only gave 4 stars because it is pretty bulky (could be made out of parachute material instead).

Use with my 100 to 400 instead of the SS200 (recommended) which doesn't allow for zooming out to 400.
Easily put on and very weather tight.

Comments about Aqua Tech SS-300 Sport Shield Rain Cover (Camouflage):

I've been shooting mens tennis this spring for my sons' high school team. The team jokes that "if it's not snowing or raining then they're not playing tennis". I volunteered before I had protection for my 300 f/2.8L lens and 5dmkii.

I looked at the disposable plastic sleeves and almost bought a box of them but decided I didn't want to look like a "tool": the Sport Shield would be the greener, longer lasting, camouflaged, and overall best product for my needs. That and it will serve double duty when I'm in the sage photographing wildlife: I had to leave the field last year when storms moved in.

While waiting for a game to begin last week the sky darkened, the wind picked up, and the players moved on to the wet courts to "warm up". I sat court side and figured out how to attach the rain cover over the camera, battery grip, and 300 lens. It took a few minutes but I'm now proficient. It was only when I tried the viewfinder that I realized I had forgotten the CEP-1 eye piece (optional, pricey, mandatory). A little more fumbling and I was ready for the storm.

The snow came in horizontally and the coaches postponed that game. I brought it out again yesterday and shot tennis for 2 hours in on-again, off-again rain and snow. Shooting from outside the courts (through the fence) I was forced to manually focus each shot. Not a worry: the lens controls are reasonably accessible with the shield in place. My right hand was on the camera all afternoon, inside the shield, and both my hand and the batteries were warm, dry, and completely protected from the elements. I wasn't using a monopod or tripod but the shield has ample provisions for just about any lens support system you can conjure up.

While not in use the shield and CEP-1 eye piece can be stored in the provided mesh zippered bag with attached belt clip.

Comments about Aqua Tech SS-300 Sport Shield Rain Cover (Camouflage):

It was easy to get on and off, and kept the equipment dry through drizzle and downpours. Was concerned about condensation inside, because I used it in the tropics, but didn't experience any.

Although designed to fit an f2.8 300mm Canon lens, it also works on my Canon 100-400 f4.5-5.6 lens when extended with just a little tightening of the velcro. Control's can be seen relatively easily through the clear plastic sections, and access to controls through sleeve is more than adequate. Will be part of my travel bag from now on, and allow me to get out in conditions I previously may have shunned. Obviously, this doesn't replace a housing if you are exposed to more than rain.
