Main use is it for holding my spotting scope. Have also used it to hold my P500. Adjusts so easily and yet locks down solid. No problems at all. Does not drift even with heavey spotting scope on.

What can I say - you getting high end product at 10th of the cost. I love it !!!

I have spend some time looking for good tripod head to go with my Slik tripod and D300s. It has never cross my mind that Sunpak can make a good quality product. After extensive research I find out that this Sunpak tripod head is everything I was looking for at 10th of the cost!!!

If you are looking for light, strong, well made, smooth action, quickly adjustable tripod head this is for you.

Recently bought this pistol grip at a local camera shop. After using it, don't know why I waited so long to try one, other than the cost as pistol grips are usually quite pricey. I used this grip with a nearly 50 year old Kowa 35mm SLR which is quite large, solid metal and very Heavy. Handled it with no issues at all. I have very small hands and had no problems at all with squeezing the grip. Wish the turn ring on the bottom of the camera base plate was bigger though. Will keep a very small pair of pliers in the cam bag to solve that problem. Set up is Very quick and easy. I use it on a professional Promaster Tripod. I'm quite pleased with with this pistol grip.

Solid, just wish the removeable mount was a little bigger and had reverse tension on the threading post. Otherwise, great deal!

Incredible strength shown while holding a gripped Canon 5D with a 70-200 2.8 Sigma lens. Hang on when you release the grip because it releases with ease. I wondered if I was wasting my money buying one in this price range but I am more than satisfied with this Ballhead.

The only reason I give this 4 stars rather than 5 is that for a right hander it is difficult to have one hand on the pistol grip and one on the camera controls. If I was going to use this everyday I would spring for the Manfrotto which can be set up on the left side.

Our photographers like the Pistol Grip. They use the Pistor Grip with the JVC HM100 camera system for hand-held. When shooting from a tripod, the photographers attach the Pistol Grip to the tripod head using the quick disconnects.

I bought this to use with a Manfrotto 294 4-section monopod and have been very pleased. While I would have preferred a slightly shorter design, I wasn't willing to spring for the higher price that it would have required. Having used this for a couple weeks now, I can say that I am very happy with my choice. It works very well, with plenty of capacity for my usual camera/lens combinations and the action is smooth. The grip is tall, but that's not a problem in daily use, and I can simply detach it when I need the monopod's length cut down to accomodate packing in a carry-on sized case.

I use this head on a monopod and a tripod. Its a great head for fast shooting. You dont have to unscrew or lock anything to keep it in place. Just squeeze and position. I would deffinately buy again.

Easy to use great for moving around hold camera easily. I use a Canon T2i with 135mm.

This Ballhead from Sunpak is a novel idea. It's great because it is speedy with the adjustments and locks immediately and stays in place holding my Canon 7D and zoom lense. Attaching to my tripod was so easy> Just what the doctor ordered.

Because of its price it would be easy to dismiss this item. It's worth more than what they're selling it for, though. I'm glad I took the time to read the reviews before purchasing a similar product.

I use it for photo with a fairly heavy dSLR. Not sure it would be good for a video camera. It's not designed for that.

What's great about it? Well, it does what it says. With minimal effort you move the camera around. Release the grip, and that sucker holds on. It doesn't creep even with my heaviest lens, and ol Minolta "Beer Can", but it may with anything more weighty than that. For most uses it is strong enough.

Gripes? Well, I don't much like the quick release. It holds the camera still, for sure, but I like the spring loaded kind. No big deal. I also wish they would have made the base a larger diameter so it would be easier to tighten down. And those are the only reasons I gave it four stars rather than five.

I think most photographers using a 35mm-sized camera would be happy to own this, but most will probably see the brand and move on without considering it. That's a shame.
