Elinchrom EL-Skyport RX Dedicated Radio Slave System

The Elinchrom EL-Skyport RX Radio Slave System Set is a wireless radio slave system that is dedicated for use the line of Elinchrom RX packs and heads only. The RX Receiver connects directly into the remote socket of these units, and does not require a connection cable or additional battery power. It integrates with the rest of the EL-Skyport system. The transmitter itself can control the flash power, modelling lamp, and flash synchronisation; and to control all the other RX functions, the EL-Skyport software (run from a computer) is required.
The EL-Skyport system has an operating range of 164' (50 m) indoors, and 394' (120 m) outdoors. Interference free operation is guaranteed with 40 bit security.

Great, and tiny(!) radio units. I also use MultiMax radios and these are a much lighter alternative. The ability to control Ranger packs is nice!
My only niggle is that it's too easy to leave these powered on - and drain the battery in the transmitter.

This is a great setup. Works perfect so far and the size is amazing. The ability to control a hair light or any light out of reach from the camera is great. Also combined with the ranger the possibilities are endless

Compared with PWs and RPs, this has great value. I also bought two unviersal receivers to use on my 580ex II and 430ex II (you'll need to purchase a separate hotshoe adapter for them.)

This trigger is nice in that it can adjust the Elinchrom RX lights and tigger them. I think Im going to enjoy these. Only got to use them twice when a pin fell out - B&H provided me with an RMA - I feel confident in this enough to have order another set to be shipped 3 days, while waiting on a refund on the defective set. Can't wait to continue testing these, and really hope that this was an isolated problem. If other post occur like this one I would wait for the next model.
