was looking for product to carry camera gear for travel which was convertible to uses besides camera gear. like the top access. like the removable insert which can then fit in backpack when hiking. have tested with d700 with 50, 85, or 24-70 attached, one of them unattached, and unattached 70-200 f/2.8, and flash. shoulder strap is a bit unwieldy/bulky. can hold the macbook pro. begins to get heavy if carrying all that stuff and generally carry just one or two lenses and assorted travel supplies and documents.

I am a wedding photographer and as many of you know sometimes quick access is key. I needed a smaller bag for the my second camera and a couple of small lenses Fisheye and a 50 mm, battery pack and occasional flash. The way the top opens makes it easy to get to my things on the move. It really works for me!

Perfect size for day shooting when not needing all my photo equipment, lots of compartments for an extra lens or two, portable hard drive, filters etc plus pro Nikon with zoom lens. Only complaint is the lack of velcro silencers on the main flap.

Holds my 7D; standard lenses that came with it, an L series lens and a macro with room for misc little stuff. Doesn't scream "CAMERA BAG" either. Very smart looking bag.

Comments about Tenba Laptop Messenger Bag, Small (Olive Green):
The bag is absolutely perfect for carrying a SLR and 2 lens on the weekend and then removing the center cushion pocket and using it as my briefcase during the week. I especially like the front upper zipper that allows access to the main compartment without un-buckling the snap of the flap. I also find that having 3 seperate 8.5 x 11 zip top pockets especially useful.

I've had this bag for about 6 months now. Nice design, might have, should have gotten the bigger one. I put a D300 into it with 18-200 lens, a D800 flash and some other things. Had to take out some dividers to do this so I could keep the lens attached.
The zipper pulls fall off when you use them to open the outside pockets. Just not a great design of the zippers. I have q 15" Mack Pro and it gets tight in there. Does fit. I also have a netbook and often travel with it instead of the MAC.
If you were going to buy one, get the bigger one that holds a 17", will give you more options for the 8 more dollars or so.

Comments about Tenba Laptop Messenger Bag, Small (Olive Green):
I bought this because I had a backpack, and I didn't like how it felt on my back, and it was hard to pull it around to get my camera out. This bag is very comfortable, easy to swing around to get at my stuff and I don't have to worry about anything falling out accidentally. I tried putting a larger laptop in (not mine, I was carrying it for someone else) and that didn't seem to fit very well, but I didn't buy it for that reason.

I use this bag to carry my d300 with an 18-200mmn lens attached along with a 50mm lens in one of the pockets. I tested out a friend's macbook pro in the bag and it fits with a lot room to spare. I would definitely recommend this bag as it looks more like a messenger bag and doesn't scream "I'm full of expensive camera equipment!" The rubberized bottom is perfect, I don't have to worry about things getting wet the way I did with previous bags. To give an idea of how sturdy (and confident I am in this bag) this past weekend I threw the bag across the top of a waterfall so I could jump to the other side. None of the equipment had even moved nor was remotely in danger of being harmed.
Note: this isn't a small bag, but it can hold a whole lot!

Comments about Tenba Laptop Messenger Bag, Small (Olive Green):
The bag is great for carrying one camera and 2 or 3 lenses and or a flash, along with a notebook, cell phone xtra battery, CF cards, small wallet. Not enough room for a 2nd camera. So, great for a day shoot or for travel. The equipment is very well protected. My favorite feature is the zipper on top of the bag which allows you to have the top open with everything reachable without having to unbuckle the flap.
