The Meade 15mm Eyepiece, Barlow Lens and Filter Kit, Model 07985LF is for use with all Meade telescopes configured with 1.25" eyepieces. This 15mm Plossl is highly recommended for those telescopes already supplied with Meade Super Plossl (SP) eyepieces as standard equipment.
This 15mm Plossl and Meade SP eyepiece virtually all share the same parfocal design---the advantage being that another focal length ocular can be dropped into the eyepiece holder, with the image being viewed remaining sharp without the need for gross refocusing.
Use of eyepiece designs that are not parfocal require refocusing to obtain a sharp image every time a different eyepiece is used.
