The Sunpak Ultra 757TM Tripod/Monopod is a great economical over head-level tripod that also doubles up as a monopod. The center column is removable and converts into a fully usuable 5-section monopod, with a 3-way head attached. Oversized, single action locks with rubber leg tips and retractable spiked feet give non-skid stability.
With oversized D-shaped legs, this tripod is designed for professional photographers and videographers. It includes a heavy duty 3-way fluid-effect pan head with quick release plate, with a reference scale for panoramic or video indexing.

I was in the market for a monopod and a sturdy tripod. While reviewing all of the choices available at B&H, I decided to try the Ultra 757TM All In One, and couldn't be happier with it's performance. Even in the high wind conditions I encounter at the shore, I find it steady (unlike the lighter tripods I have been using). The monopod feature is easily accessable and very functional. This product is a must for those who are looking for good quality photos without camera shake.

Out of the box experience? Cheap plastic! The 'fluid head' feels lke nothing but plastic against plastic. 11 lbs? Not unless you lock the head tight or hold it from sagging between pans. The monopod is worthless for still cameras - the pan handle sticks you in the neck. The quick release head - plastic junk. Could not get a stroboframe QRC to stay tight. Oh yeah, the head does not stay in level on 360 pan. The monopod legs must be twisted to lock/unlock - no clamps. Other than that...

Comments about Sunpak Ultra 757TM Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Head:
I've had this for about 3 years and use it heavily for my FF DSLR. The head is ok but not great--replaced it immediately with a $50 Bogen head. It is sturdy and reliable. What I like most about it is the flip-lock legs (I HATE twist lock). As a pro for over 35 years, I have owned and used many tripods including top brands. This thing works almost as well as my brother's $700 carbon fiber tripod, and is about the same weight. His extends a few inches higher, but has twist-lock legs.

Comments about Sunpak Ultra 757TM Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Head:
I was looking for solid tripod that could handle both my camera and heavy lenses. The Ultra 757TM fits the bill. The head is strong and stable. The leg adjustments give me the height I need. The mono-pod piece is a bonus, as I like a mono-pod for many applications, but lacked one with a 3-way head. This unit fits the bill.

Comments about Sunpak Ultra 757TM Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Head:
I already owned a nearly identical SunPac tripod sold at a major electronics store that is [...]The part number is also almost identical. The head is not suitable for video and I knew that going in. I removed the non-removable head (very easy, it as a 1/4-20 thread) and put an adapter on that I machined (1/4-20 on one end and 3/8-16 on the other about 2 inches in length and 2.5 inches in dia.) then I put my Manfrotto fluid head on. Works like a champ. This tripod is very stable. The monopod is also very nice. I would have used this tripod as manufactured if it had a good fluid head.I do event videography and use Sony HDR-SR11 camcorders on this tripod. I also have an HDR-FX1 that I have used on this tripod. The FX1 is a bit large for it though. I fully intended to remove the head as soon as I got it. This tripod has fully lived up to my expectations. I gave it 4 starts because the head is not a true fluid head.

I have been using this tripod for a couple of weeks and have enjoyed it so far.
It has worked well on uneven ground, at parks and I really enjoy the monopod feature for moving scenes.
If you are just starting out and on a tight budget when it comes to needing so many pieces of equipment like me, then I very much recommend this tripod.

It's a bit heavy but I expected that with the monopod center post and extended size.

Comments about Sunpak Ultra 757TM Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Head:
While it is light weight I have gone through three of them already. The legs hold up, the body holds up and the quick release holds up. Sadly the first and second thing that always breaks are the things that cannot be repaced and or fixed. The panning handle is the first to break (and I never added any hard pressure) and two (the screw) which lifts the head... First one I brought from (know retailer) and the second I brought from (known retailer). Its mot the store but the product. Its a good price but cheeply made. so far 240 on three of them. better off buying one that will last. Sukon stay away from. Looks nice, light weight. It breaks and fails on you when you need it the most.

This unit stands up to the height I need to take pictures comfortably. You can adjust the feet to spike into the ground. The monopod feature is great for sport photography. Smooth head and even comes with an extra quick release for a second camera or camcorder.

I use this tripod with my Panasonic HDC-HS250 HD Camcorder and with my Nikon D60 DSLR. Pan movement is a little jerky but controllable. Great tripod for stills. The monopod is exceptionally convenient during video shoots. Overall a great tripod for the price.

Comments about Sunpak Ultra 757TM Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Head:
I use three tripods in my business every day. I needed tripods that would be very stable and heavy so that the cameras would not tip over easily. That is what I received with the Sunpak tripods. The construction is solid also with the head and the leg extentions. I also have use for the level since I often work on an uneven surface. I am very happy with this product.

Finaly a good tripod at a good price. Smooth, easy to put up and take down. Sturdy and built for the serious photographer. A little heavy but the light weight ones cost 4 times as much.

Comments about Sunpak Ultra 757TM Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Head:
I got this tripod when I got my new camera. I picked this one because the ad said the center column could be taken out and used as a mono pod. It did come out but the tube sections would not lock in place. It was useless for this feature. I was going to send it back but I did have another need for a tripod to set up fixed shots, so I kept it.

Comments about Sunpak Ultra 757TM Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Head:
I use the tripod to support a boom. It seems very well made but the camera mounting cam lock pad seems stressed by my boom which may be more stress than it was designed for. If a camera was reasonably balanced, I am sure it would work great.

Comments about Sunpak Ultra 757TM Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Head:
The tripod itself seems well built and sturdy enough to support a DSLR mounted on a Stroboframe with a Sunpak 544 flash----once I changed out the head. The head might be adequate for just the camera and a lightweight lens, but unfortunately has a lot of flex in the quick release mount.
The built-in monopod works great and makes this tripod a good buy even taking into acount the need for a head upgrade.

Comments about Sunpak Ultra 757TM Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Head:
tripod was purchased for video use. Does not seem real durable and is far too noisy to shoot video with. I am sure it would be a great product for photography but that is not what it's intended use was. The internal monopod is east to extract and could be quite handy. This may be just what your looking for.
