This is a Mola Perforated Aluminum Diffuser. It is designed for use on Mola Reflectors, and it is a lightweight, unbreakable diffusion disc which softens and redirects light back into the reflector. At the same time, the P.A.D. allows a small amount of light to pass through the perforations creating a diffused center core of light.
It is what it is. High quality machined aluminum for your Mola beauty dishes. A little expensive but Mola is a premium brand. Comes with the territory. (My personal preference is to stack a PAF with the opal diffuser on all my dishes to help get rid of the hot spot with the PAF alone.)
If you have the opal glass diffuser already on the Mola, adding this to stack gives some really nice results as well as stabilizing the whole attachment. Great for location shoots too, being less vulnerable to damage.
