A superb paper. It is my "go to" glossy for non-optical-brightener. You can read about it on Luminous-Landscape. Highly recommended. The Ilford profiles are very good too. On my Epson 7900 it "sings."

Comments about Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk Paper (Type C, 17 x 22" - 50 Sheets):
Strong, heavy paper. Great tonal quality. You do have to be careful because it jams rather easily. It helps a lot if you manually feed the paper into your printer. I would use this paper for everything if not for the price! But it's great for your important prints.

I need inkjet paper that not only produces luminous inches but is of sufficient weight/thickness that I can frame a large piece and not worry about it curling or wrinkling under the glass. This paper does all that I need.

I've been using Crane's museo silver rag but find this paper has a wider color gamut and less stipling on the surface. People say it's great for b/w but I find it fantastic for my color needs.

Lovely prints. Great contrast and color.
It almost looks like a dye-transfer print.
The cons:
It scratches easily
Too thick for printer to front load.
It needs to be manually fed through the back of an Epson 4800

Comments about Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk Paper (Type C, 17 x 22" - 50 Sheets):
Having tried various baryta papers (Harman and Hahnemuhle), I've settled for Ilford GFS. It is a wonderful paper with sharp vibrant images. It shows a bit more gloss differential than the other barytas but this can be minimized with a good custom profile. When price is taken into consideration, this paper is about half the cost of the other barytas. I print using a Canon IPF 5100. I've had no problems with head strikes. I've read others report of head strikes when used with some Epson printers.

Comments about Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk Paper (Type C, 17 x 22" - 50 Sheets):
The best fine art paper you can get for B&W OR color. Heavy weight just like the old double weight Fiber based papers AND it even has that darkroom smell when you crack the pack. Byarta layer just like a lot of the sliver papers too.
