The Carl Zeiss range of T* ZF-mount lenses offers high standards in terms of performance, reliability and, of course, image quality. You can count on highly advanced flare control for crisp and brilliant images. And virtually zero geometric distortion, ensuring precise accuracy when reproducing shapes, especially useful when photographing products and architecture.
The Zeiss 28mm f/2 Distagon T* ZF closes the gap in the line of high-end lenses for analog or digital Nikon SLR cameras. This bright lens offers a popular wide-angle view, and has a minimum focusing distance of only 9.5" (24 cm). Thanks to the floating design, image quality remains almost consistent from the close-up range to infinity.
Compatible with Nikon's F (AI-S) bayonet SLR system.

Comments about Zeiss Wide Angle 28mm f/2 Distagon T* ZF Manual Focus Lens for Nikon SLR (Black):
The Zeiss 28mm Distagon is a special lens. It is compact, razor-sharp, and will auto expose and give full TTL information to cameras of D200 and higher make. I'm using it on a Nikon D3x, and the 24.5 megapixel images are FANTASTIC! The color and contrast FAR EXCEED similar Nikon lenses... this lens is as good as similar focal-length Leica-R lenses -- and that's saying a lot! I'm definitely purchasing more Zeiss lenses!

Comments about Zeiss Wide Angle 28mm f/2 Distagon T* ZF Manual Focus Lens for Nikon SLR (Black):
This lens is what I was looking for in a wide angle - it is sharp wide open,
has great looking shallow DOF and feels good, focuses clean and nice.
It has a tight but smooth rotation.

Comments about Zeiss Wide Angle 28mm f/2 Distagon T* ZF Manual Focus Lens for Nikon SLR (Black):
I wanted a lens that would give me a wide angle point of view on my D300 without any distortion. I considered the Zeiss 25mm lens also but every photo I saw with it on a D300 had some distortion. The 28mm was a perfect choice. It's distortion free and produces those Zeiss like 3D photos. IMHO, these Zeiss lenses are so much better than the competition.

Comments about Zeiss Wide Angle 28mm f/2 Distagon T* ZF Manual Focus Lens for Nikon SLR (Black):
This lens filled out my set of Zeiss wide angle lenses from the 21mm Contax to the 25,35 and 50mm ZF. Like the other ZF lenses, it is a pleasure to use. Silky-smooth focus, solidly made and extremely sharp. I use it with my Canon 5D and the resolution in the corners is even better than the Zeiss 2.8 it replaced. Highly recommended.

Comments about Zeiss Wide Angle 28mm f/2 Distagon T* ZF Manual Focus Lens for Nikon SLR (Black):
This lens is very sharp. It focuses as close as 9.5" which will allow for some different perspectives. The focus ring is very smooth. The flare control is unbeatable by any Nikon lens I've ever owned. Overall, it's a spectacular lens. It does have a lot purple fringing (CA) at F/2. Stop it down to a minimum of F/4 and it will clear. I tried it against the 28-70mm F/2.8 and the new 24-70mm F/2.8, and this lens beats both in sharpness and contrast at any aperture setting.
