Panasonic LQ-MD800 Professional/Medical Grade DVD Recorder

The Panasonic LQ-MD800 system can create original DVD video in either NTSC or PAL formats by recording images onto DVD-RAM and DVR-R discs. The unit complies with the medical electrical equipment standards, paying close attention to enhancing protection against electric shock, fire and mechanical malfunction. The unit is small and lightweight and can easily be used in a variety of different settings, including hospitals, studios, laboratories, and many more!

Key Features

• DVD-RAM Reliability: DVD-RAM is a specially coated DVD-R disc that is encased in a protective plastic cartridge, providing greater durability. The result is a more reliable disc that is less prone to scratches and overall "wear and tear".

• Real-Time and Hybrid VBR: To assure recording with a high-quality picture, MPEG2 advanced data compression technology is used to record images. Depending on how complex a scene is, real-time VBR (Variable Bit Rate) controls the rate of MPEG2 compression in real time, varying it to enable more efficient recording. Hybrid VBR combines real-time VBR and visibility modulation technology to enable long recording time with exceptionally high-quality images.

• Visibility Modulation Technology: By automatically discerning the human range of attention and converting the information into a digital signal, this original technology uses the most effective data during recording to assure high-quality images.

• Multi-Region Compatible: The LQ-MD800 can record both NTSC (United States, Japan) and PAL (Europe, Australia) formats, making it usable virtually anywhere in the world.

• Control Remotely: The unit can be easily controlled from a PC or Mac computer by using the RS-232C or USB connections. Integrating the device with a variety of video capturing software packages couldn't be easier.
