The 860-XL85V 8x8 Multi Layer RGBHV Router from Link Electronics is a routing switcher designed to handle high-resolution component video. It accepts (8) inputs and (8) outputs. Because this switcher features a modular design, functionality and features can be switched in and out of the unit using separate modules.
H and V sync channels are based on the same 300MHz analog switching crosspoint used for the red, green, and blue channels. This allows the switcher to handle any computer sync rate or polarity & amplitude without the risk of introducing distortion or jitter to signals. BNC connectors have been excluded from this unit to eliminate signal degradation caused by the connectors themselves, break-out cables, and path length variations. Instead, input and output signals are run on HD-15 connectors.
Each frame offers (2) front-load slots for power supplies. One power supply is included with the unit. The second slot can be used for a separately available redundant power supply. True load power monitoring is included with remote indicators for both power supplies. The switcher can be controlled with the included control panel via RS-232 connectivity.
