The Holophone H3 5.1 Surround Sound Recording Microphone captures audio in complete surround for broadcast, audio for film, video recording and sound design applications. The microphone system is designed to provide an easy, point-and-shoot method of recording surround audio and eliminates the guesswork out of positioning, technique, preliminary mixing, etc. The elliptical microphone head emulates the shape of the human head and the behavior associated with human hearing.
Six miniature microphone elements are built into the head for true 5.1 capturing. A cable with six XLR microphone connectors is included and connects to any eight channel field recording system, mixer, etc. The H3 is more than ideal for field audio and studio applications, while the six discrete channels make final mixing and encoding relatively easy.
