I was searching for a powerful video light without having to spend too much money. I bought two lights, since the reviews said that battery life is only 17 minutes i bought a 2nd light for backup. This is a good buy,the difference of video taken with the light is big. It improves it so much that when you see, you will be going back to get a second for backup. I would recommend this product to anyone, who is looking to buy without spending too much money.

Not the best prosumer light
This light is a great price, but its performance is average at best. Way too hot.

Used it at a wedding for my ring shots and was really pleased. It did give that familiar "flashlight" ring, but I was able to counteract that with some vellum adhered to the end diffusing the light. Lightweight and compact, for the price it does a great job.

I am a professional wedding and portraits photographer. I use the Readylite to illuminate little details -- flowers, place settings, the cake, etc -- at receptions and for any special lighting scenario I'm trying to achieve with an assistant. It's small and easy to toss into my camera bag. And it lasts long enough for the short bursts that I use it for on my jobs. I highly recommend it!

Great little light. Run time isn't long and while you can get a second batt changing it is difficult.
Great size to put in your pocket!

I read about using this video light for portraits and weddings. It couldn't work too much better without being heavier(because of a bigger battery).

This is small, compact & light weight. It charges fast and is great in a pinch for a little extra light! You can't go wrong for the price!

Can produce great images from a easy to carry light. It's all in how you use it. I don't know of anything that's as good in this size.

Hold this light in one hand and your still camera in the other for great effects. I saw a fellow photographer using this light as a key light along with the existing light at night for some great photo effects. You can easily see what you are doing with it in your view finder. We were in a place where your flash would have been out of place and would have ruined the mood. This light is small and can fit in anyones bag.

We are non-traditional wedding photographers who like to shoot with available light. This video light adds perfect mood lighting for all subjets - details and people. Love it! We bought 3, they are small enough to hand hold and store in the camera bags.

Comments about Sunpak RL-20 Readylite 15 Watt Video Light:
I love how lightweight and compact the Ready Light 20 is. It's a great tool to add to any photographer's kit. You can create cool effects and dramatic lighting quickly and easily.
The only downside to this product, and it's a pretty big one, is the battery life on these guys. You only get about 15 minutes of light, and it takes several hours to fully charge them. So be sure to buy more than one when you purchase it!

The Readylite is an excellent constant light source for location photography. Its compact, light, inexpensive and easy to prop up or hold with one hand. The color temp is great and I love the dramatic effect that can be easily achieved with minimal effort. I wish it had a longer battery life, but its so inexpensive that i keep two on hand.
