The Astatic AS900 Overhead Microphone is an ideal solution for capturing choirs, stage performances, ambiance, and more. The inconspicuous design features transformerless electronics for low-noise and clean audio reproduction. The cardioid polar pattern rejects feedback and increases range.
The capsule is mounted on a 7" (17.78cm) flex-pipe for precision positioning. A 30' (9.14m) twist resistant cable features an XLR connector which houses the microphone's output electronics. A 0.22" (0.55mm) hole behind the capsule allows a monofilament line to inconspicuously hang the capsule over stages, choirs, pulpits, etc.

Transformerless Electronics
The transformerless output stage is housed externally, on the connector end of the cable. This allows for a small profile, low noise and clean audio reproduction.
