This is a wide, contoured neoprene camera strap that cushions the neck from heavy cameras. The contoured "Boomerang" shape follows the curve of the neck or shoulder while distributing the weight over a wide area. The quick release buckles allow interchange between other Tamrac quick release systems. Adjusts to 44" in length.

I have gone through several straps in an attempt to get one soft, comfortable and low-profile. I'm often in places where I don't want to stand out from the crowd, but it has been difficult to find a strap that didn't have a lot of bright branding stitched into it. The Boomerang has one small Tamrac logo on the side of the strap, and was easily removed.
The Tamrac Boomerang is extra wide, super-soft neoprene, which for me doubles as padding when I wrap it around the lens and body and stuff it into my non-camera bag.
Just about the only bad thing I can say about it is that it became ratty-looking rather quickly, though it's performance has not altered. If you have concerns about appearance, you may be disappointed. On the other hand, the rattiness works in my favor and helps to further disguise my intent as a photographer.

I ended up returning this product for a couple of reasons. The main reason is that I found the straps were just too bulk and interfered with my shooting. The width of the side straps and the quick release system buckles got in my way. I'm not a fan of quick release, I've never found the need to remove my camera strap.
I own a few other Tamrac products and have found them to be well made as was this strap. It is also very comfortable. If they made a similar strap without the quick release and narrower side straps I'd buy it in a second.

Comments about Tamrac N-27 Boomerang Quick Release Strap (Black):
I purchased it mainly to have this specific strap which is great. I use heavy cameras and lens often and this strap helps me to carry it for many hours.
Initially I felt a little bit insecure about the "quick release" implementation, i didn't want it to happen with my camera :) But in practice it's not an issue.

The strap gives you the confidence that your camera wont fall off your shoulder if you have to run to catch your next shot. It also has the quick release clips to loose the strap quickly should you need to. And it is nice to have just a black strap without all the branding on it.

I really like this strap. I bought it for two reasons, comfort and the quick release. I use my 7D on a mount that slides onto a Glidecam Pro for video, and need it come off and to balance quick. Very comfortable!

I liked it enough to re-buy when I lost the "strap" part in the field. It's not the end all but it's an attractive option over thinner straps that don't distribute weight well.
Wish it was a little longer (even with it adjusted).

I ordered this strap for my nikon d90 , I was looking for something strong and comfortable !
It's very strong but they should have sewn something around the padding to make it a little more comfortable

Comments about Tamrac N-27 Boomerang Quick Release Strap (Black):
Love the comfort of this strap! Even with a heavy Telephoto attached it makes having a camera hung around your neck all day a liveable event. Alas, I am a professional marine photographer who spends a great deal of time aboard boats and the strap is simply too long. Even when adjusted to it's shortest length it leaves the camera dangling too far from my body and I am constantly banging my Nikon into steering wheels, consoles, winches, and the like. I would like to see it modified so as to be adjustable to no longer than 31" as this would solve the problem.

I bought this strap as I was fed up with my old strap being too short and also very uncomfortable!
This strap in my opinion is very well constructed using top quality materials! Very comfortable to wear and isn't too bad on the eye!
The quick release aspect of it is very useful too, if like me you walk around with camera across shoulder and like to shoot without having to remove constantly!
The strap is grippy so if you unclip one side to shoot portrait the strap stay in place and one small click and your reattached again! Very convenient strap!

I use straps sparingly, but this one is nice. I only wish the clips were quick disconnect directly on the body, not the clip on the strap disconnect.

I used it for 8 hours non stop and did not feel the weight of my D300 with a power pack and 24-70 mm f2.8 sigma lens. Had I done this with the Nikon strap I would have ended with sholder and neck pain. I still hurt from a 3 day course I did three weeks ago from using the Nikon strap.

I use this camera strap constantly. It is comfortable and supports my camera with MB-D11 battery pack easily. It distributes the weight evenly, thereby avoiding chafing and discomfort. It could have been a little longer.

Comments about Tamrac N-27 Boomerang Quick Release Strap (Black):
I bought this strap because I do a lot of photography and had just upgraded to a heavier camera. This strap does everything as advertised: it spread the weight more evenly across the back. I recommended it to a friend, who was taking a heavy camera on a long Asian trip. She got it and is as happy as I am.

I use this strap when using my Nikon D5000 with a 300mm lens, which is relatively heavy. The strap spreads the weight nicely. I would recommend this strap over those that come with most cameras.

Comments about Tamrac N-27 Boomerang Quick Release Strap (Black):
This strap is so much better than the standard strap you get with a Canon. We have both the Canon 7d and a Canon T2i with vertical grip and use L series lenses on them. They can get fairly heavy when carrying around all day with the standard strap which can also cut into your neck and shoulders. This N-27 boomerang strap is just the ticket. It has a much broader surface area and fits nicely around your neck and is very comfortable. It really improves the comfort when you have the need to tote the camera around your neck when on the move. I also like the fact that you can quickly disconnect the strap when using on a monopod or tripod as the standard strap was always in the way.

A simple and comfortable that lends itself to allow long-term use. The elasticity of the portion of the strap over the neck/shoulder helps absorb bouncing of the weight of the camera which lessen fatigue, and the wide, contoured portion follow the contour of the body distributing the weight more evenly.

I hang my Canon 40D from it, which often as not also has a 430EX flash gun when I'm shooting an event. I can wear my camera+flash all-day comfortably. Plus, I can easily unclip the strap to remove it if I'm using a flash bracket. This strap is much more stable and comfortable than the strap that came w/ the camera. It's simply a great product at a reasonable price. Get one!!
