I use this product to transfer 8mm films from a screen thru the camera to my computer, but with this camera it does not let you do that, when finished filming now, I have to then copy it to my PC, and then edit it. It causes me to use an extra hour to do a film edit, and it is also hard to adjust the focus and white balance as the only way I have to see the film is on the LCD screen, where as before I used the computer scren, which was much larger, and makes it easier to adjust the focus and other options.

Picture quality is great. However, downloading files into main editing suites like Adobe Premeire or Apple's FCP is NOT user friendly at all. HD software that came with the camera is also the hardest thing to use. Even though I own editing suites listed above I might have to buy a diff. editing suite to use this camera. Deleting files from this camera is also not so easy. Option to recored in a diff. format is not there.

I use the cam for short videoclips and stills; mostly outdoors and on a boat fishing.
Compact and easy to operate; the 3 second preshoot is invaluable.
I just wish they had made it full 1080P 60 FPS.
Spare Batteries not available from any retailer near me.

Very clear video. Compact and fits perfectly in my hand. The buttons are small and a little "sticky" so it may be difficult for someone with big fingers to operate the menu screen. Battery life seems pretty good. You have to use their software which is not very compatible with my computer so watching and editing the videos on my computer are choppy.
