Seculine Twin-1 R3 UT Universal Wired/Wireless Shutter Release
The Seculine Twin 1 R3 UT Wireless or Wired Shutter Release from ZIGView is a universal shutter release which simultaneously supports most DSLR cameras which have a built in Infrared receiver, providing a wireless shutter release without the limitations of a traditional cable release. It is ideal for studio or travel photography, and for the enthusiast photographer who wishes to have the freedom to move around the subject while shooting. You can be in the picture rather than behind the camera. It can also be especially advantageous when taking long exposure photos.
The Twin-1 R3 UT remote is able to trigger your camera's shutter from up to 300 feet (approx. 100m) away. It also has the added capability of being able to operate a delayed shutter release, making it useful for surveillance or candid photo applications. In addition it supports half shutter depress for pre-focusing and other camera functions.
The Twin-1 remote system includes a cable for wired release (with compatible cameras), which is particularly useful when taking pictures using the Bulb exposure setting. Plus the remote sender also has a built in bright white LED torchlight to assist you when shooting in low light situations, and a keychain attachment so you can keep a better hold of your remote.
Note: Requires line-of-sight to the camera's IR sensor for operation.

I'm an amateur photographer who got this to use with some self portraits as well as some outdoor, low light settings. This was really easy to purchase and start using right away. I have a Canon Rebel Xsi and at first I couldn't remember how to turn my settings to a remote shutter release, but after a bit of searching I figured it out. The main drawback to this item was the lack of directions. It comes with basic photos of what to do, but really lacks specific instructions about what to do once you get past installing the battery. I've had good experiences with this product every time I've used it so far!

Because the Nikon D70's remote shutter release is infrared from the front only, the regular Nikon release works only when in front of the camera. [...] It works great, sorry B&H for my doubts. For very long exposures, the button can be locked to hold the shutter open and when copying or doing close up work, I can stand behind the camera. It also has a much longer range that the Nikon release.Great item for the bag.

I've had this shutter release remote for about two weeks now. I needed it for a studio project I'm working on and it was compatible with my Canon Rebel XSi. Took me a few minutes to figure out how everything works but it does exactly what I need it to so I have no complaints. I guess I wish it had a slightly longer range but c'est la vie.

For any photographer that is looking take long exposures or need to be hands free during a photo shoot, this product is a must! I was originally leary that this product would not be compatible with my Pentax K10D DSLR camera. I am very glad I took the risk! Not only is it completely compatible with my camera, it works exactly as it claims it would. Plus the battery is easily replaceable unlike the IR remote that Pentax offers for my camera model. Purchase this product, you won't be sorry.
